Yeah, but what about those sterile, inhuman, Minority Report-esque offices in QOS? I know the external shots were filmed at the Barbican Estate, London.

In a word? Pathetic! I want that door with that leather cover back!

Oh really? i didn't know that? do they actually film inside the building?
And I didn't like the MI6 in QoS at all.

No, I think M's office was filmed at Barrandov Studios in Prague.

We live in an "age of austerity" (allegedly). Believe me, we could be back to Bernard Lee's old style office come Bond 23. And, to be honest, I wouldn't mind that at all. It was a comfortable old world place, suitable for sending Bond off to do battle, or giving him a stiff talking to.

I was putting a bit of real life spin on it. With the way our government over here is taking the axe to public sector spending, in the real world M would be lucky to be left with a small basic office with a desk, chair and telephone. You don't want something new?
And yes, I don't think there was that much wrong with the first M's office. You could easily add a few hi-tech extras to it, yet retain that small "c" conservative ambiance.

have bond be more than just a ruthless killer.
For me it's about time we had Bond as nothing else but a ruthless killer.

Some say the Bond of QoS is a soulless Terminator. I don't agree. However for Bond 23, now that all the emotional drama is over, I want him to more or less resemble the Casino Royale Bond. Get him back to where he was pre-betrayal. A breezy, school rebel that turns the grit up to eleven when needed.

No! In QoS Bond was anything than a soulless terminator. He did everything out of anger and not because it was a mission. What I want to see in Bond 23 is something like the PTS of CR. The scene where Bond kills Dryden is the best example of what I want. Cold, professional, non-emotional assassin!

He is more serious, and there is a personal grudge he's dealing with, but he isn't soulless IMO. He's more than just a killer. He's still the CR Bond, but under different circumstances. I just want him to lighten up a tad from that for Bond 23.

Yes, I want some witty lines, but I don't want to return to the Moore-era style. I'd like to see Bond on a mission. I'd like to see some shots in dark rooms, dialogues there, with witty lines and then *bang* -target eliminated- with a bullet on his skull.

Stop dressing in a t-shirt mid-dark blue jeans and jacket(like in Layer Cake) more of a mix and match in sport coat, dress panrts and either a white or blue dress shirt with no tie(like Pierce Brosnan in Goldeneye when he search the yachet next day in Monte Carlo). Well that way that fit Daniel Craig's look.
NO John Woo style action IF they are thinking about that. That DOES NOT fit Bond at all.

Craig's Bond has got the poison of the betrayal out of his system now. That said, he'll never be the same man he was before it. Neither was the Bond at the end of the novel Casino Royale. He'll be the "school rebel" all right, but always with the memory of what the villains did to Vesper and to him. We won't see him brooding about it next time round, I think, but if Quantum is his adversary in 23 or a future film, it will be a motivation, I'm sure. Something that will probably only resurface at the very end of any Bond-v-Quantum story arc, should 007 finally confront the brain - or brains trust? - behind the organisation. Some say the Bond of QoS is a soulless Terminator. I want Bond to struggle in his fights. In QoS, there was never a moment where I felt for Bond's safety, he just seemed unbeatable, damn near immortal.
No more traitors.
I want Bond to really enjoy his job.
I want M to have complete trust in 007's abilities and to defend him much like Bernerd Lee did with Connery

I want Bond dressed in suits most of the time, it's what separates him from every other action hero out there.

Definitely.
I want Bond (and the audience with him) to enjoy his time. Although I loved CR and QoS, I want Bond to now be Bond again: dressed in suits (see Moore: even during his fights he's dressed in suits or Tux), smoking (preferably cigars, as Moore did, but I'll go with cigarettes as Dalton did), drinking (not to get drunk as in QoS plane scene, but to enjoy a nice one), getting on with his job (without any "can I really trust you?" psycho-babble from M), confronting villains through witty dialogues (which means getting rid of the Purvis-Wade plague), etc.
In short, I want Bond to genuinely enjoy. Doesn't mean Bond23 has to go back to being goofy fun as MR, but at least it has to get "Bonder". Let's not forget that Bond movies have, for decades, set the coming trends, not the other way round: Bond movies should not be about copying what's out there on Box Office (trying to be "Bournesque" or "Jack Baueresque" or whatever). They have to be true to the formula of glamourous adventure. Hence the suits, luxurious locations, fancy villains, memorable lines, etc.

If the occasion warrants it. I do like the rough and ready nature of the Craig Bond. You know, when he does wear a tuxedo, it's one that's stolen. And he's only wearing it to blend in. I suppose that aspect can gradually taper off as his films go on. But going straight to the finished product in any area would remove the distinct charm he has opposed to the rest of the Bond men, IMO.I want Bond dressed in suits most of the time, it's what separates him from every other action hero out there.

Well, I'd say being Bond is as such precisely the occasion that warrants it.
As Double O Ego stated, one of the things that separates Bond from other action heroes (say, Bourne) is that he's always stylish, takes very good care of what he's wearing and what he'll have to eat and drink (wonderful lines in FRWL: "Red wine with fish. Well, that should have told me something." and in GF: ""My dear girl, there are some things that just aren't done, such as drinking Dom Perignon '53 above the temperature of 38 degrees Fahrenheit.").
