A little new cam footage, mostly over the player's shoulder. Definitely fullscreen this one. The guy is awful, so you get to see the damage indicator and the death screen for the first time.
[sopiler]Blood drip again[/spoiler] for the death screen, it seems.

If you look when Bond enters the yacht club parking lot, the enemies actually dive out of the way when the realize the car is going to explode. Also, their costumes can catch on fire and hurt them, you can see one of the henchment trying to pat out the flames on his arm when he got too close to one of those cars. That's some pretty good AI.

Mr Teddy Bear got it right when he said it looks entertaining in the short term, with no long term value. This in itself would be an achievement. I don't personally know anyone who even got to the end of EON, and I really had to push myself through it, so if the rest of the game is as linear and automated as it threatens to be it'll struggle to even entertain for it's runtime. Releasing inbetween MOH and COD, this one is going have to pull somthing very special out of the bag...

Seriously, how did we get to this sad state of affairs? GoldenEye shot to the top of the charts with both Bond fans and general gamers alike and stands as one of the greatest pieces of interactive art of all time, now the license has become something everyone knows from the off will only be mediocre at best and only the die-hard fans will even bother with. Sure, a decade of EA serial raping the franchise every time the cocaine pile was running low pretty much torched it's reputation as a quality game series, but I had hoped Activision might breath some new life and quality into the series, especially having a whole new Bond to work with. Blood Stone so far seems to be a laundry list of all the reasons there is still only one truly decent Bond game and if I was being cynical (which I am. Always) I'd say the GoldenEye Wii will just be a watered down COD cash-in going up against an actual COD, with prospects about as good as a breadcrumb going up against an actual duck.

That Aston Martin is gorgeous, and with the Acropolis in the background even that still image is exhilarating.

It will fill the void left by a movie we didn't get this year. I'm as excited for this game as I would be for a new Bond film.

Looks a bit better, and the player can reliably shoot thier way through the level (no auto-kill rubbish on display there.)
And we have linear levels. Again. As much as Sandy Thingy tried to squirm around it, he was forced to admit it. So, QOS's biggest flaw repeated in full! I despair, I really do...

Nah he said the narrative is linear, but the choices we make on how to make our way through the environments is much more flexible. Man those driving sections look exciting.
But he does all but say that the environments themselves are are linear, which is evidenced by every piece of footage we've seen so far. All he says with regard to making our way through it is that we have the choice of "guns blazing" or stealth. Exactly what they said for QOS, which was true for the most part. Linear levels you can handle queitly of loudly, except when the game dictates. Not promising for Blood Stone.
They've been saying the game is about 20-30% driving (well, "vehicle" based), so the Istanbul chase, the train chase and the bridge finale should cover that, in addition to the boat chase and the on-rails shooting section where Bond has an infinte ammo minigun (because there WILL be one, we all know how this goes down by now).
NEW ARTICLE in this months PSN, or PSM, or some PlayStaion mag. They got to play the game at some event, but only got hands-on with the driving bits. The handling was praised as being "superb", Pomerov (of the train chase) is referred to as one of the main villains, the driving-based finale is talked of but not shown, but apparently it involves Bond escaping military vehicles on the bridge and surrounding roads. A part of the main game also apparently has Bond climing a crane to escape helicopter gunfire and destroying it by dropping the cranes load onto it. Makes a difference from shooting them down with rockets, at least.

Holy hell, that DB5 looks gorgeous. These chase scenes look exciting as all get out, and the cars are beautifully rendered. This game is going to have some sweet trailers in the next couple of weeks, I can't wait.

me to. A large part of why I want more craig as bond games in 2011 etc is because honestly I don't know when the next film will come out but the bond video games is not apart of the MGM carcas and is largely unaffected meaning we could get a game next year. Most FPS are linear, it's what allows for a coherent narrative to exist. I'm just excited to see Craig as Bond again.

In other news, confirmation that there will be no demo for Blood Stone: http://www.vg247.com...nfirms-bizarre/
So, releasing a questionable looking game and then refusuing to let people try it without first paying? Oh, Activision, you coy little tartlets!

Yes. The game sucking MUST be the only reason not to release a demo. Plenty of games don't get a demo usually because developers don't want reveal story or more likely in this case, don't have the time or need.
