I've been waiting for a classic Bond game like this for ages. It's so classic.

A Classic Bond game would require Sean Connery or Roger Moore. You can't force a non-classic actor into it and expect it to fly.

I'm all for a classic Bond game with one of those two, like the concept for FRWL must have been before a team of development chimps spilt EON all over it. But not for a Craig game, that'd be stupid.

Highly anticipating what multiplayer in this game is like... and whether it might have longevity online (i.e. people playing it for longer than a week) to make it worthwhile.

Also curious about how long single player is. (I assume VERY short...)

TEN MINUTES OF THE ISTANBUL CHAPTER

Holy hell that looks like fun, shame the guy playing isn't the best driver. The shooting actually looks really efficient. He says about 8 mins in that he has really enjoyed it, and that he's been playing for an hour. Istanbul is the second level out of 5. That's awesome.

Oh my! This looks fantastic.

The soundtrack is really good, as well. :|

The soundtrack is outstanding. Exciting as hell. I'm so excited.

Oh, and the shooting hardly looks linear. I'm seeing some fairly wide open stages. The driving has to be linear because you're chasing someone, and even that they've opened it up quite a bit for short cuts. This looks amazing.

We have something really special here. I think our very own Arkham Asylum. It’s polished, intricate and looks plain fun. The driving, shooting and fighting is tight and flows nicely. The best of everything that has gone before is brought together and bettered. This isn't a bargain bin game. This looks challenging.

I love it how Craig’s Bond smashes up the DB5. It’s so like him and his era. They give him this classic icon and he shows nothing is sacred. To him, it’s just another tool to further the chase.

Blood Stone is Craigverse canon to me. That’s how much I like it.

Agreed. Reserving final judgement, but fears have certainly been laid to rest with each successive piece of the game we've seen released. And I was not on board in the beginning.

The entire first level and opening cinematic is online. No gunbarrel.

Wow, with that said amazing voicework and cinematics.

INCREDIBLY MASSIVE, UNFORGIVABLE SPOILERS.

That footage looks like fun...BUT...

The gameplay looks fairly repetitive to me; wait behind cover, pop out to kill a few bad guys, go back into cover, wait, lean out and kill some more...rinse repeat....

Maybe ok for single player - but if multiplayer is based around the same mechanic I can't see it being great.

It looks like an interactive film, exactly what I wanted. It looks extremely polished, exciting, and fun.

A lot of footage is online elsewhere. I haven't watched all of it (don't want the whole thing to be spoiled) but my curiosity has been satisfied. So far, I've seen cut scenes for about 4 levels (definitely not watching the gameplay videos in their entirety, there needs to be some fun when I sit down on Tuesday!), and I haven't heard the Bond theme once. It certainly seems like they're very much keeping the Daniel Craig tradition of less is more. The Nicole Hunter dynamic is interesting, it'll be interesting to see it in its entirety, but for now she seems to be the most heavily characterized Bond girl we've ever seen in a game. I've also seen a hacking mini game for setting off car alarms which was neat. There's a lot of shooting, but there's also a ton of investigating. It looks relatively well paced, and the takedowns are visceral and keep things exciting. My only problem is that Feirstein was REALLY mild with his script. It features some very blunt dialogue, though the in game stuff, from what I've seen, is really good. M is in her Quantum of Solace office, and Tanner plays a major role in the game. Get excited guys, this is going to be cool.

The music is simply amazing.

The music is indeed phenomenal. Haven't heard the Bond theme either, a little disappointing. But Jacques' work sounds a a very rhythmic, percussive, contemporary John Barry.

Tell me if I'm wrong - has he integrated "I'll take it all" into the score as the main theme? I swear I hear it.

I can't say I love the dialogue, but I will say it's the most honest effort we've had in a 007 game to date.

Same here. That's exactly what I was expecting. A new game, following the steps of games like "EoN" and Uncharted, simply great.

Made me smile a lot, classic Bond!

I still don't understand why they don't have a gunbarrel sequence? Casino Royale and Quantum of Solace messed with theirs for artistic purposes. If this is supposed to be a classic Bond adventure, then we should have one to kick the game off. Unless it's before the main menu, like GoldenEye N64, or the older games.

Quite disappointed that the Athens chapter is so short. I was under the impression that each chapter would have 4/5 levels within it. I think the game will be longer only if you don't blitz through it all guns blazing.

I'm not watching any more gameplay clips. I want to play through the game with anticipation. Blood Stone comes out in Australia on Wednesday, and that snuck up on me to be honest. I'll be there bright and early.

Yeah guys from now on lets only post the final trailers. The gameplay footage is just too tempting, sorry for starting the trend.

This is so damn exciting.

And Harkers no worries, the PTS is way shorter than the following chapters. The Istanbul chapter alone is about about 40 mins in length (depending how you play) I think it'll last around 7-8 hours, which is just fine. There's a ton of other stuff to do afterwards (kill 100 enemies with blind fire, that's a lot of baddies!). This will be the closest us Bond fans get to Arkham Asylum until Bizarre gives it another go.

When is this actually released?

Amazon and Play list November 5, 2010 as the release date. Other sites are saying November 2nd. Sharpshooter says November 3rd for Australia. It just doesn't make sense that Australia get it before England and America. Quite bizarre.
