What Zorin said.my annoyance is The hobbit can have a loose release date can't 007.
Completely different projects from completely different people with completely different circumstances governing completely different production parameters.

ah I figured as much but was just wondering.... after all Zorin tends to be 2 steps ahead of everyone else on this board. It's a reference to the never-produced third Dalton film - there was a billboard in Cannes in 1990 (or was it '91?) promoting Bond 17 starring Timothy Dalton.

Any Internet Wizards out there who can track down an image of this?

I'm surprised nobody's taking advantage of the current situation and hasn't come up with a hastily put together "PIERCE BRONSAN IS JAMES BOND IN WARHEAD 3000 COMING SOON"
(spelling error intentional)

14th July. Known in France, I think, as Bastille Day. Somebody in the film production/studio/big money world ought to get the chop for this ongoing nonsense!

I'm imagining a revenge something like this:14th July. Known in France, I think, as Bastille Day. Somebody in the film production/studio/big money world ought to get the chop for this ongoing nonsense!

This is the very definition of insanity. They keep doing the same thing and expecting a different result.
July 14 better be the very last deadline extension. Otherwise, this could very well drag on for months (if not years).
I just don't see the reason for the creditors to keep on granting these extensions. MGM is barely making any films now and that, combined with the fact that their two cash cows The Hobbit and Bond 23 won't be going into production until this matter is settled means they won't be bringing in much money at all in the foreseeable future--hardly conducive to paying off their massive debt.
Additionally, MGM is not going to be worth more than it is right now due to its paralyzed position. Its value (and studio power) will only begin decreasing over time. MGM and its creditors just need to face facts, bite the bullet, and let the inevitable happen and let the studio die. The writing is not only on the wall, it's carved in stone--R.I.P.

no there won'tAnd after July there will be even more extensions...
wait did the delay mention a specific year cause I mean I figure they are talking July 14th 2013...
it's depressing that my favorite 007 Daniel Craig will only have 2 films and 1 ok video game to his credit.
