But didn't Empire, THR, everyone basically do the same thing? When the Golden Globes' Twitter account takes the time to say it, you feel like they've talked to someone...

Look, here it is. It's Adele. We know it's Adele. Roger Friedman/Showbiz 411 are probably very right. The other major sites (and they all reported it) aren't just re-reporting Friedman's piece. That's not how it works.
I think they are just re-reporting him, yeah.
I'm sure he's right though: there's pretty much zero doubt.

That would be great to do, but I don't think I'll manage it!

I'm a huge Indiana Jones fan and wanted to be totally surprised by the most recent film, so I managed to see Kingdom Of The Crystal Skull on opening night having only laid eyes on three publicity stills and some casting announcements. All that effort turned out to be a stinking waste of time in the end, but still.
Anyway, I've totally set my mind to it. I'll be all aquiver with anticipation when the film starts at 8pm on October 26th! (I have my tickets)

MTV are actually saying nothing here, the big give away is the line...
"According to Showbiz 411, the song is called The Sky Is Falling."
And to make matters worse, they haven't even been able to copy the story correctly.

Seeing that we're related, I'd like share that I had a very similar experience. I, however, did not have the strength to avoid as much as you.
It has been awesome having both the Bond and Indy blu-ray sets released so close together.

It will be tougher this time than ever before, but I've always avoided hearing the song before the film's release, and I intend to continue that practice now and in the future.

The only Bond theme song I really ever disliked was AWTD, so I was spared dreading hearing it again on opening night.
I'm rootin' for you, Adele - knock my socks off!

KOTCS was even better than TOD, and as good as the others.

You know, there was a Sony event a bit ago, I believe in Germany, with a big Skyfall banner with some title sequence type imagery that read "Let the Sky Fall"
Yes, I remember someone posting a photo of that - has anyone got a copy?

?!? - Only comment possible, but I guess to each his own.
As for Adele again, I set myself to watch the Ross interview again (boy, is he irritating but fun..). She definitely has something up her sleeve and she almost blew it at that point. Good for her, she´s got the voice for it. Oh, and she´s got the craziest laugh!

Back in blighty after an epic day in which my passport was stolen, I spent the afternoon in Marrakech police and then British consulate.
Paul Epworth @paulepworth
Which was all very James Bond.
It seems David Arnold gets it…

I've no doubt she's doing it, but I do get a little annoyed when websites state that it's confirmed that she's doing it, even more so when it's stated that she's officially confirmed - she isn't. Not until EON, MGM, Sony etc come out and say It's Official, Adele is singing the title track and it's going to be known as ... should websites use the words confirmed or official.
I agree. But that´s the state of online journalism these days. Rumors others reported on are "confirmed information".
Pathetic.

Adele: James Bond “Skyfall” Song Written With “Rolling in the Deep” Writer
So Adele’s collaborator on “Let the Sky Fall” is indeed Paul Epworth, the man who co-wrote her big bit “Rolling in the Deep” and most of “21.” That’s good news. The “Skyfall” song will make its debut around October 4th or 5th from Sony Music and Adele via social media, I am told. For Adele’s first new release since “21″ Sony will pull out all the stops, you know.
The goal will be to make “Let the Sky Fall” the biggest selling digital single ever.
Meanwhile, I have more lyrics to add to what I gave you on Tuesday.
“Skyfall/Is where we start/A thousand miles and poles apart/Where worlds collide/and days are denied/You can take my name/But you’ll never take my heart”
A couple of readers chimed in that they didn’t like the lyrics, which I thought was funny. When you sign on to a Bond song, you have write it around the title you’re given. It’s like a game. Think of “Goldfinger,” or “Golden Eye.” Or “Live and Let Die.” The lyrics are not necessarily going to make sense. But if you convey the mood of danger, and romance, you’ve got it. I do think “Skyfall,” which has a great hook and obviously Adele’s cool vocal, will be very very popular.
PS thanks to everyone who gave credit to our first story. Please do back links and hyperlinks to this page. We’ll do them right back!
