I was until they announced the Gobal Bond Day and DC & The Muse on SNL, truthfully I would have thought we would be listening to the theme song by now.

I doubt they'll leave it as late as that. They'll need to produce promotional material for the film with the singer's name on it. Someone along the line is bound to blab if they don't announce it soon.

Why Muse? Because they're performing on SNL with Craig hosting in October in promotion with their new album?

I don't believe it's either of them. As for who it is, We'll see what happens.

Slim to non-existant, I'd say. A new Bond song by a popstar like Adele just creates too much buzz for EON not to take advantage of it.

If it is an instrumental I think it would be of the Bond theme wouldn't it? But I don't think it will be, it would be a missed opportunity if they didn't have an artist.

I think the title sequence will play out in 1 of 2 ways

Spoiler

1. Bond gets shot and falls of the train / title sequence of people falling / then ending with Bond landing in the water.
OR
2. Bond lands in the water and then the title sequence.

I wouldn't mind seeing something like DN with the Bond theme with visuals like OHMSS and then the theme song or in the case of DN '3 blind mice'.

A Feature Film music editor on Twitter called Tony Lewis, who is currently working on the Skyfall title song, says the title song indeed has vocals (in response to someone asking him if it did or not). So to anyone who was hoping for an instrumental....bad luck. Adele it is then...

He also said he woke up this morning with the Skyfall song in his head.

It's so infuriating that someone out there knows what it sounds like and the rest of us have to wait on tenterhooks!

He also adds- in response to someone asking him how Bond is going- that 'its going really well, final push soon'.

Cheers! I asked him of he could give one small clue about the theme and he then said it was vocal! Only a small tidbit but still great to get confirmation!

The longer we wait, the more I wonder if anyone has been signed! ;-))

My current guesses, to be taken not at all seriously - 1. Another duet, this time between Sir Tom Jones and Dame Shirley Bassey, or 2. A revamp of the Monty Norman Bond theme, to be played by a guitar legend (Eric Clapton? He was up for it for what was then "Licence Revoked", apparently.)

I expect to be proved 100% wrong, of course. But I wonder how accurate the other predictions will turn out to be? Did any of us think that Chris Cornell would do CR, or that Jack White/Alicia Keys would perform for QoS?
