I'm not really a fan either. I recognize that she has a very good voice, but I just find most of her music to be somewhat boring. There are plenty of other artists I'd be much more excited about, but given that it's already a foregone conclusion that it's Adele's job, there's really no point in debating the merits of other artists. All I hope is that the composer has a lot of input in writing the song.

So if it does turn out to be Adele, that means she is the second worst kept secret behind the title. And yet, EON is doing such a good job of keeping everything else about this film hush hush. Which leads me to believe EON are leaking this info to get the fans excited, and keeping the other stuff secret.

Not the biggest Adele fan either..I've tried to listen to a couple of her songs and just can't get into them..she does have a Bond-esque voice so I could see her pulling it off (she certainly is WAY better than Joss Stone and her AWFUL "I Take It All" from the Bloodstone game)... However the Skyfall song itself, presumably which will be co-written with Thomas Newman, has to be done right in order for it to work for Adele's voice..

Joss Stone is a horrible singer, it is true. The song itself I find acceptable- it's just a game and it fills the 'Bond song here' gap pretty decently.

I thought the graphics were well done myself..loved the Aston Martin skidding on the road of diamonds but yeah the song, after being overhyped a bit, was a real let-down for me...

I doubt it. There will probably be a press release or something along those lines, but I doubt they'll call a press conference for the sole purpose of announcing Adele as the title track singer. If there's something else that they want to announce around the same time, then perhaps, but I can't see them calling a press conference for the sole purpose of announcing the title performer.

Don't know why there's so much hate for Adele. Haven't actually met anyone in real life who 'hates' her music, havent actually met anyone who has told me they dislike it either. You don't have to be a fan. But at least appreciate her music. Also realise she would do a fantastic job.
If you find her music dull or boring or think she can't sing or cant write a song, then I hope you don't have any impact on choosing the next bond them because you certainly don't have a clue about good music.

By the looks of this board its going to be bloody hard to please everyone.

They’re just taking their time with the announcement, spreading the publicity about for optimum effect. The song was already recorded back in March. Derrick Watkins (the well known trumpeter who has the distinction of playing on all 22 of the Bond film soundtracks) apparently contributed to the song’s recording back in March. Whoever is doing it, it’s a done deal.
