Today there was a guy in the tube with a guitar and another guy with panpipes. Given the particular problems of tube-acoustics the two weren't half bad...
Panpipes? And you mean people weren't trying to murder him?
Quite an achievement in itself.

Oh, they were. The enthusiastically clapping chapter of Hell's Angels made them reconsider, I suppose.
Strange things happening in the tube...

Two things:
First, given the context of some of the known events in the movie, this guy is already thinking of possible ways to incorporate his music video into the film's plot. Ingenious.
Second, I accidentally listened to 'Another Way to Die' yesterday and thought "this needs more panpipes."
So in short - hire him.

This might be a un-conventional choice but Shinedown wouldn't be a bad choice. Brent Smith is an excellent singer and its not all pure rock. Now before you doubt my choice, I would advise you two listen to the songs "Alice" from the Alice a in Wonderland soundtrack and "Call Me" from the Sound of Madness album.
Thoughts?

What were they playing?
Highway to Hell, me thinks. Could have been Greensleeves, too. Probably a medley of both.

They really ought to - provided Madonna didn't catch the guy before.
Hello all! Long time reader and fan of commanderbond.net. I figured that I would chime in and give my opinion.
Welcome, feel at home.

I could actually imagine something like that, not bad at all.

I was most certainly kidding. Justin Bieber would be a far better choice.
One Direction,
Please tell me you're kidding.

Take from that what you will.
[Insert joke about how just singing near James Bond was enough to leave her in...a condition. ]

Believe me, I was kidding. The day they do a Bond theme is the day I sell my entire Bond collection and pretend I was never a fan.Just saw the 1D thing and as much as I love them (Niall <3) I don't think a boy band should be doing a Bond song.

Now the only question remains is : who WILL perform the title song for "SKYFALL".So can the Broccolis finally wake up and hire artists that would be more suited to do a Bond theme for once? The last two opening credit Bond theme songs were just not good fits.
My top artist suggestions to do the next theme song in no particular order....
1. Portishead
2. Muse
3. Micahel Buble
4. Massive Attack
5. Radiohead
Any one of these great artistic talents have what it takes to deliver a great and epic Bond theme that would be far more fitting and appropriate for a Bond film, then the last two ill advised choices IMO.
To bad Amy Winehouse is too cracked out to deliver....at one point she would have been a good choice, but she needs to sober up first.
What are your top choices guys and gals?
That'll be the next big surprise about this movie.
I can't hardly wait...
