So can the Broccolis finally wake up and hire artists that would be more suited to do a Bond theme for once? The last two opening credit Bond theme songs were just not good fits.
My top artist suggestions to do the next theme song in no particular order....
1. Portishead
2. Muse
3. Micahel Buble
4. Massive Attack
5. Radiohead
Any one of these great artistic talents have what it takes to deliver a great and epic Bond theme that would be far more fitting and appropriate for a Bond film, then the last two ill advised choices IMO.
To bad Amy Winehouse is too cracked out to deliver....at one point she would have been a good choice, but she needs to sober up first.
What are your top choices guys and gals?
Don't think Amy Winehouse'll be recording this one & quite frankly, aside from Radionhead, I haven't heard of one of these bands.

When you can't dance and have to rely heavily on autotuning.....you had dam well better look good.
Back on track...some really good suggestions here.

Adele might be 'fat', but she wouldn't actually be appearing in a title sequence or the film (especially not after the last time that happened).Adele might be 'fat' but face it, the reason why female singers such as Rhianna, Cheryl Cole etc are so focused on image is to compensate for the lack of talent.
And female singers like Rhianna are actually fairly talented to begin with. They don't use auto-tune, for one. If you want someone whose career is built on her image of being attractive, look no further than Nicki Minaj and Keri Hilson, who actually wrote a song about inner beauty - Pretty Girl Rock - and then filled the video clip with people uglier than her. And then she followed it up with a new song music video that were more explicit than most soft-cre pørn.

I think I've officially decided to endorse Adele as someone whom I'd love to hear in Bond 23. Can't think of a more appropriate choice, to tell the truth. Girl can flat out wail.I can see Adele being approached to do the Bond theme. Not a major fan, but I can see it happening.
--------------
And anyone deriding her body shape gets a big ol' from me, as if that's what it's about. She'd sound amazing on a well written Bond theme.

David Arnold and Don Black could write a Bond theme that would be perfect for her.

And when have any of those names been connected to the title theme? Or are you just being paranoid? These are singers I DON'T want to see doing a Bond title song at all, for any Bond movies to come.

Would EON go for an overweight theme performer?
Thats very harsh to suggest that adele couldn't do it because of her weight, im sorry but im starting to get very sick of people degrading her talent because she's 'overweight'

It's Brendan's Death Song from their new album I'm With You. It's probably the first song I've heard from them that channels the same power as Under the Bridge. The chorus in particular gets me every time - "Like I said, you know I'm almost dead; you know I'm almost gone".
I think they're an act that would need the right song to be effective, but if that song was something like this, I think it would be fantastic.

And as Daniel Craig recently said that Bond 23 will be like the Classic oldies, it sounds like a match. Adele is my favourite anyway -- so hope it happens.

Bond will coinside w/ the 50th anniversary of the 007 franchise. Who better to sing the title song than Shirley Bassey, if they can still get her?

Forget the callbacks. Forget the gimmicks, and the in-jokes. Bond should celebrate fifty years by making the best film that can be made. If that involves Shirley Bassey, so be it. If not, then it's not going to hurt the quality of the final film. But sentimentality for sentimentality's sake will only do more harm than good.
