Hopefully this time around a solid script will be ready beforehand.
I think QoS had a solid story, they just didn't have the time to polish/expand it because of the writer's strike. It came off as slightly thin and small scale. Still good though.
I just hope Bond 23 is now on it's way to a November 2010 release date.

This time last film back in 2007, we knew the release date. We knew Purvis and Wade were writting the script, and we knew the prods had met with Tony Scott, Jonathan Mostow, and Alex Proyas, while an offer was out to Marc Forster to direct.
At the moment we really know nothing. I think 2010 is still hopefull, I think Summer 2011 at the earliest.
QOS was something different. Even for CR we had James Bond cast 4-5 months before the shooting. We still have 7 months before shooting begins if we are going to have Bond 23 in 2010. If we can have a director until September-November no.23 will be on 2010.

Indeed. I imagine as the summer months roll on there will be more news leaking out. There will probably be an official release date set in the not too distant future I would think. This time last film back in 2007, we knew the release date. I don't see an official before December/January. Tentative release dates I could see by Sept/Oct.

Even though it's still in it's primary stages, it's still nice to know that the writers are throwing around some ideas.

If memory serves they where already filming when Eva Green and Mads Mikkelsen where cast. This film could easily make it for X-Mas 2010

That would be a totally epic Christmas gift, if done well.

Casino Royale was a special case as it was an adaption. Other than that the recent Bond films didnt really get titles until shooting had started, so I doubt we'll get a definite title early.

If memory serves not until Bond 23 has begun filming. That's how it worked with Die Another Day and Casino Royale.

Yeah, he lost all credibility with that one, as we now know he was not telling the truth and are we seriously saying a tabloid rag like "The Sun" is a reliable news source?!

Is this the same Michael G. Wilson who said on camera at the Oct. 14, 2005 press conference that announced Daniel Craig as the newest James Bond that work was well underway on Craig's second 007 movie?!
Yeah, he lost all credibility with that one, as we now know he was not telling the truth and are we seriously saying a tabloid rag like "The Sun" is a reliable news source?!
I don't think anyone is saying that. I think the general concensus is "buyer beware" or let us embrace the parade before the rain falls, if indeed it does.

He said they are already working on the planning/script for Craig's second Bond film. We do know that it went through some major re-writes so I don't think he was not telling the truth. We know they were originally planning a May 2009 release but that got delayed when negotiations with Roger Mitchell fell through. Is this the same Michael G. I am waiting for the "Connery to be cast as Bond villian" story to make it's rounds again as well as the "gay scene" in Bond 23 rumors.

Careful. Such common sense gets taken dramatically out of context round these parts...!I have a feeling that the next Bond film will come out at some point. Probably in the future. Some time after the previous one.
