Another highly entertaining episode. Can't wait for the season to actually start, though.

This show has been getting better, finally tapping into the grey I wanted it to have.

Entertaining again, but at the same time, getting a look behind the scenes gives a fan more reason to be worried about the upcoming season than to feel optimistic (especially when you get to see just how immature the starting quarterback for this team actually is).

The season finale was tonight, which is a shame because this show was entertaining. The best part of the entire series was tonight, when Rex Ryan's verbal tirade with Darrelle Revis' agents via conference call was aired. A classic reality-TV moment, IMO, and one that just about had me both rolling on the floor laughing while also trying to give Ryan a thunderous round of applause for basically saying what the entire Jets fanbase had been saying now for the past few months.

I loved this show when I caught some episodes during the 90´s. Unfortunately, here in Germany the show was broadcast on a network that did not know how to handle it and cancelled it after pushing the show around, mostly showing it after midnight.
I bought the complete series set a few years ago and started to watch it from Season One onwards, pausing between the seasons for other stuff. But this is one show I always love to come back to. It is extremely funny, laconic, yet wise and philosophical while being absolutely entertaining - probably one of the best shows I´ve ever seen. Season 4 still is going very strong and has some of the best episodes of the whole run.

Mediocre. I must say I'm surprised this show is doing well enough to get a second season.

Was there ever a more underappreciated TV gem? Season 4 again is simply perfect.

While Season 3 on the whole didn't quite meet expectations as whole compared to the wonderful Season 2 there were some episodes in that Season that may be the best or one of the best in the series: Chuck vs. the Other Guy, Chuck vs. The Subway, and Chuck vs. The Ring Part 2. Having the last Season end with one of the best episodes in the series and with the stunt casting for Season 4 left expectations high for this season. So the question is does Chuck vs. the Anniversary meet these high expectations? I would say yes in a big way. All of the flaws the show had in Season 3 are now gone and finally the show has reverted back to the tone of Season 2 where it does not take itself too seriously. In many ways from the opening shot the show feels different, more sophisticated, more like a Bond film, and Chuck himself seems like the spy we have always wanted confident and funny while keeping his everyman appeal. There are some really funny stuff in this episode that was somewhat missing from last year and I think they found a perfect balance between humor and seriousness. Dolf Longren was one of the better Chuck villains and Linda Hamilton was simply great as Chuck's mom. It's shaping into a great season.

THE EVENT: An interesting start to a potentially good series, but it felt like too much set up and not enough moving forward. There was too much jumping back and forth in time in the pilot. If the storyline can become a bit more streamlined and linear, NBC could finally have the hit they're starving for in this show, but it's not there yet.
CASTLE: A solid beginning to Season 3, although it features a bit too much moping on the part of all the main characters. Also, the much hyped "shocking" aspects of the episode turned out to be rather predictable, especially the "shootout" between Beckett and Castle that was used over and over again in the promos. I saw the resolution to that one coming from about ten miles away. Still a solid beginning to the season.
