I was surfing last night and found 'The Invaders', a late 60's sci-fi show about a pending alien invasion. A Quinn Martin production. :-)

Last night's episode of Castle. THE best episode of the series thus far, by a long shot (which is saying something because of the high quality the show has consistently sustained in a season and a half). Excellent performances from both Stana Katic and Nathan Fillion. Also, would the producers of Chuck please get the writers for Castle to pull double-duty and write for Chuck as well. The romantic subplot of Castle is handled much more maturely and in a much more realistic way than the rather juvenile relationship Chuck and Sarah currently have going in their show.

Last night's episode of Chuck. Easily the best episode of Season 3, and one of the funniest of the series.

Tonight's episode of Human Target. Great show. Jackie Earle Haley is hilarious in his supporting role, and the lead actor is quite good as well. If this show doesn't work out maybe he can replace Matt Damon as Bourne in the next film is Damon doesn't return.

The Young and the Restless, then the Bold and the Beautiful, and now watching One Life to Live. B&B and Life are a bit dull today. Also all of this has reminded me of why I avoid getting a DVR and why I should be thankful to school. Although having a DVR would be helpful for not having to spam through interwebs to read up on anything I've missed...

Rab C. Nesbitt
After the lackluster and rather unpleasant Christmas special in 2008, I wasn't sure about a new series (some ten years after the last), but this seemed like a welcome return. Not brilliant, maybe even a bit sub-par and the new Gash is certainly a distraction, but still a welcome return. It's more than a little worrying that a character who first turned up on TV as a comic reflection of some of the darkest sides of Thatcher-era Britain now feels very relevant. As much as I wouldn't want one a remake of Boys From the Blackstuff would, sadly, probably work...

Tonight's episode of Chuck. So far, season 3 is not doing so well. Only 2 good episodes and three rather lousy ones, tonight being one of the lousy episodes. Brandon Routh's "Shaw" character is great in theory, but he's such an inferior actor that it just comes across as terrible. The series' best actors, Adam Baldwin and Yvonne Strahovski, were given very little to do yet again, which isn't helping the season out much either. Also, it's fairly obvious the budget has been cut significantly (possibly even by more than half considering how cheap the episodes look this season), and things just couldn't be off to a worse start for the show.

On a positive note for tonight's Chuck, though, Kristin Kreuk was wonderful in her guest starring role, which will be a recurring role for at least the next few episodes.

What's really irritating me about Chuck, though, is the way that Chuck and Sarah, in general, treat each other. It's clear that they like each other, but find it necessary to run into the arms of virtually every one but each other for whatever reason. Having the love-triangle nonsense is OK once or twice in a series, but it's becoming almost a weekly thing now, and I think that they either have to permanently break them up here in the next couple of episodes (at this point, I honestly don't care anymore) or get them together permanently. This whole back and forth thing, which was OK for a while, is really starting to become the anchor around the neck of this show.

Tonight's episode of Castle. Well, they finally managed to make a bad episode, which was surprising, but considering that there hasn't been one yet, I'm more than willing to let it slide.

The Tonight Show
Thanks for the memories Conan

Excellent show. Tom Hanks and Neil Young were great, but Will Ferrell stole the show with his Lynyrd Skynyrd skit featuring Conan on guitar and with Billy Gibbons of ZZ Top as a guest musician in the band. I haven't seen a Tonight Show that good since Johnny Carson taped his last one in 1992. It brought the same memories, and the same ratings.

Long may you run, Conan, thank you for the work you've already done, and best of luck on your next project.

It was heartbreaking watching him choke his way through that farawell speech. It was clear he was having a really tough time holding it together.

But yeah, the Free Bird ending was awesome.

I hate those! Is that the one called XP Antivirus or something? I got one of those once. They're hard to get rid of.

I agree. I wasn't sure about Martin Short as a powerful lawyer(!) going in, but he showed his serious acting chops.

Watched the recorded version of episode two of HUMAN TARGET. And a portion of episode three. I was not disappointed. If anything, this show's getting better with each outing. The scripting, the production values, the action--we're treated to a one-hour movie each week. Finally, Mark Valley's very nicely settling into the role. There's not a trace of the...well, prissiness...he's shown in his previous roles. Bravo.

Watching Stargate Atlantis. Still sad it was canceled. Still say Joe Flanigan should play Nathan Drake as long as they're going ahead with an Uncharted movie.
