Though we will be having a book launch in the coming weeks. We are hosting a virtual canapes and warm Pinot night to celebrate the launch of CATCHING BULLETS - MEMOIRS OF A BOND FAN. The author knows the management here and kindly asked. It will mean the semis of the Domino Vitali Domino Night is to be postponed for a fortnight.

And, really, who could not use a little bit of solace. Even if the sky is falling.

Hello?
Hello? Anyone here? The lounge is still open for business, I trust.
If not, then no one will miss this dribble of 5-star Henessey ...

Right beside that Coke Zero vending machine in the lobby.

Cool, I'll be there as soon as I get petrol in the VW Beetle.

You guys do realize this movie sucks Skyfall's left teat, don't you? I'm only here for the free food 'n drinks and to razz anybody who still thinks this movie is any good.

I heard the former "licensee" got his hands burnt by the Trading Standards folk for syphoning Asda Scotch into the Macallan bottle.

As long as the Taittinger remains unadulterated I'm willing to let bygones be.

But Glid my friend, that's the great thing about the Lounge of Solace. If teat-sucking is your thing, grab a pew and make yourself at home.

QOS is still better then SF, at least QOS knows it sucks but chooses to roll with it. Where as SF, I got the impression that they think they have this excellent script all because they could kill M. It only took them 50 years to realize the films should have some continuity and explanation to its characters, but that doesn't make it a good story. If you don't like it here you could always Enter Skyfall Lodge...

I'm already firmly esconced in my favorite green leather wing chair facing the bow window, so I think I'll pass. That Skyfall was such a chilly, draughty dump that even Bond hated it (although appartently not as much as you, my oddly-named fellow colonial). I'll let you and Glidrose do the hating while I stretch out and look forward to news of B24. Looking forward with anticpation is always better than looking back in disappointment and contempt.
Or, to put it another way, "It is better to travel hopefully than to arrive,"
Now where have I heard that before?

I just looked that up. First time I laid eyes on the phrase 'sophisti-pop'. The wonders never cease...

Such work talk is to be left strictly at the door. In fact, our new Swedish au pair Tomas is in charge of said booth where all boardroom talk and 007 career chat is to be signed in where a raffle ticket with your name will be distributed. Show the ticket to the bar staff and they will exchange it for a bag of Skips crisps.

Forgive me gentlemen. Shouldn't have let that bug me in our thread of solace. Could I trouble someone for some grey poupon?
