I'm still undecided. Part of me wants QUANTUM now, the other knows a better release will happen eventually.

I have no problem with Australia only getting the single disc version (didn't want the half hearted "specialedition" anyway), but 30+ dollars seems like too much for me without any sweeteners or bonuses. I guess I'll keep an eye out for any specials.

I know exactly what you mean. The other day, I bought 'The Next Doctor', the 2008 Christmas Special of Doctor Who and I'm kicking myself now, because even though I really want the release, I know that a boxset willl come early next year, featuring all of the Tennant specials.

I pre-ordered Quantum of Solace last night, because that's just me. I know that a re-release is coming, but tbh, it's Bond so it's worth it. That's my saying anyway.

I'll buy the best package deal I can find next week.

Has anyone heard what we're likely to get shrink-wrapped with Quantum of Solace from Wal-Mart, Best Buy, Target, etc?

Due for release on 18 March

EzyDVD had the cover art for this up a while back, but it disappeared a couple of weeks ago. It wasn't bad, actually.

Given Australia's got stuck with the single-disc release only, I think I'll hold off for a while. If it goes on sale, I'll pick up a copy, but I can't say I'm bursting to own a bare-bones release for that price.

http://www.blu-ray.c...amp;show=review
The menu looks nice, it reminds me of the game alot.

Thanks for this. As usual, the Blu-ray screenshots look fantastic. I like the look of the menu as well.

The screenshots do look great. M looks even older than I remember!

She looked horrid in GoldenEye. She reminded me of some kind of tightarse lesbian. I preffered her look in The World is not Enough onwards.

Agreed Mharkin. Her haircut made me think that she was a lesbian. Thank God that didn't happen again...B)
Anyways, getting back on subject, those screenshots look absolutely amazing!!! I can't wait to get the DVD next week!!! (I should be getting it in the mail)

Hopefully they'll put that cover back up - I'd like to get a glimpse at it. Wonder why they'd choose to go with the single over the 2-disc for release in Australia...

I expect the Sunday paper will have any other special deals. Shame Wal-Mart is packaging the calendar with the single disk and not the double.

I remember seeing that a couple of weeks ago too, and it may not have been the official cover, hence the possible reason why it's no longer showing. In fact it is now called a "Multibuy Offer" and the site is showing the single disc covers for both movies.

Target in the US will be selling a 'deluxe edition' of the QOS DVD for $24.99, which comes with some sort of "exclusive book". This might be the same as what they did for CR, it was a mini version of the Bond On Set photos book. The Blu-Ray is $26.99 and doesn't appear to come with this book B)

Picking up the Blu-ray of this is a no brainer for me. I've just accepted the double dip will happen & I've moved on. Besides, I buy so few Blu-ray's in comparison to what I used to buy on DVD, I'm a bit ahead of the game now. B) Looks like Target is the winner on the best swag for now but hopefully the Sunday paper will have some more options.

Will all that's left is what will Best Buy be giving along with the DVD. My guess is that Kmart and Walmart's Sam's Club will not have anything like in the past.

Yeah, it's 'Night at the Opera', one of the films weakest tracks, imo.

Well Play have posted my 2 disc copy today, quite looking forward to seeing it again having some time passed since I last saw it.

I'll see whether it can win me over more on 3rd watch, it just didn't have the effect that CR did plus I was positively foaming at the mouth for that to drop on DVD this I'm looking forward to but the anticipation for No Line On The Horizon was much bigger!

I grabbed the single disc version from my local video store (helps to have the right friends and the two disc set didn't really strike me as something essential), looks fantastic.
