This car was not as unique as it seemed.

I have a guess, but I keep hoping someone else will weigh in.

Okay, looks like no one else is jumping in. We seem to be setting up our own exclusive corner of the game section, trs!

My guess is the Aston Martin Vanquish. It seemed unique until Zao turned up with his almost equally well equipped green Jag.

Good guess, but not what I was looking for. For me, the Vanquish was still more unique with the "cloaking device".

I had a feeling that was the case, but it was the first thing that popped into my mind. On reflection, though, I have a guess that I'm happier with:

The green Rolls that took Andrea to the Peninsula Hotel in Golden Gun. "All green Rolls are property of..."

And that would be absolutely correct. Back to you. . .

While it didn't actually fly, this vehicle was like a butterfly in one regard. In the end, it was foiled--or just before the end, anyway.

Not a bad guess, but no. There are three separate clues--two in the first sentence, one in the second.

Major, was this a VERY clever clue for the DISCO VOLANTE (Flying Saucer)?? Obviously it didn't really fly, and like a butterfly it emerged from the cocoon; and foiled as it revealed itself to be a hydrofoil.

That's the answer, trs! And thanks for the compliment. Trying to come up with clues that are just the right level of tricky is one of the great appeals of this game for me. (The same with Character Identification--and yes, I'm restraining myself from answering your latest clue there to give someone else time to guess.) I'm having a lot of fun with this.

Back to you, sir!

I quite agree. With that being said, here is the next puzzle:

I'll go with my first thought: Mary Goodnight's MGB.

A second guess would be Tilly Masterson's Ford Mustang.

You're up!

It's an iconic American car that has a cultlike following in the States, it's used as a taxi in a Bond film in an East Asian city, and it's used in a crash stunt in the same film in place of a lesser-known American car (I know what that one is also) that is used for the chase scene just before the stunt. Although this one's a stumper, I hope I haven't given too much away.

(Bonus points will be earned if you guess the chase scene car.)

I'm going to try to revive this game. I'm guessing Forward Look's question relates to some car in Golden Gun, but I don't really know, and I'd have to go back and rewatch it to try to figure out the model mentioned. I prefer this game when it makes us guess a particular distinctive vehicle and the role it plays in one of the films, not the actual model involved. To take a really simple example, I'm more interested in a clue like "Bond will get into any car with any girl, and he got into this one in Tokyo." Obviously it's Aki's car in YOLT, but I don't particularly care what model it was.

So here's my new clue:

It's a slow starter, but once you really open it up, it's quite an exciting hangout.

Major B: would you be referring to Bond's Glastron boat in MR and the hang glider??

I agree with the Major, the clues should revolve around the vehicle and it's role in Bond, and not just identifying the make/model.

Tell you what, I'll expand the clue a little:

It's a slow starter, but once you really open it up, it's quite an exciting hangout, especially if you like the high life.
