Star Wars episode 1, Star Wars Episode 2, Pierce Brosnan

fandom HATE all new versions what they're supposedly fans of.

I hated those because they were awful.

Yes, those 3 are very poor . A total waste of time. I mean that

The problems I have with this song is that it's a mess. The verse is fine, the chorus ok(ish) But the instrumental part is terrible and the vocals are just as bad. The structure of the song sounds like there has been not much thought to it

the Star wars prequals arent that bad,

I am not getting into long debate about this but I will comment. All the Star Wars Prequels had bad acting, poorly written stories, and just wanted to give excuses for basically all the characters to meet each other at some point.

and how was Pierce awful,we're only able to have this arguement because Pierce Brosnan was actually Very good in the role and thus the series has been able to continue.

You realize that makes no sense. Just because he was popular it MUST mean he was very good ? He was a logo that just followed all the old Bond cliches.

to be popular you must be liked by the majority...so yeah thats exactly what im saying.

I downloaded real player, but it still tells me "To play Jo Whiley: 18/09/2008 please first install Real Player."

Could someone tell me what to do here?

Install RealPlayer from real.com, then you should be able to listen to the stream.

Thanks, this worked.

Alicia Keys pretty much kills the lyrics for me. Like, I think it should of been Jack White by himself singing the lyrics and chorus by himself, but Keys fit well at the end with all the "Whoooaaaohhhhh" stuff. This could of been alot better if Keys wasn't so involved.

There are lots of popular artists over the years that have not been liked by the majority but have been perceived as being popular because the press have championed them. Lots of boy bands. And I think Pierce was , although popular, not as much as the press portrayed him

I'm a very open-minded individual when it comes to music in general (in the past year i've seen George Michael, Roger Waters (Dark Side Of The Moon Tour), Avril Lavigne and Rush...and have tickets to Madonna) and James Bond music specifically and the best I can say about this song is:

It's interesting and different and not yer run-of-the-mill wanabe 60's Bond Song (a la Moonraker or GoldenEye or TWINE by Garbage).

That's the best I can say.

The worst I can say is that it's not a song that i'm used to listening and enjoying over the past 25-odd years.

I'd put it in the bottom quartile of the canon of "songs" (i.e. not counting Dr No, FRWL and OHMSS Titles.)

And this is after two first time listenings, with an open mind having not been influenced by the Spanish rip (which I hadn't listened.)

White should have done better.

Perhaps they can polish it in the Titles? Perhaps it will sound much better while watching the movie?

Here's hoping.

Each to their own, right? :(

i live in a world where whats good and bad isnt fact, its opinion. Its a strange place you might not be familiar with, similar to the moral high ground or , i dunno, life outside fan forums.

Orion, you are making no sense at all. You're obviously ignorant of life outside a fan forum. In THE REAL WORLD, what everyone likes dosen't make it credible or good.

You're right it doesnt, because how good or bad something is is an opinion, not a fact, a concept you seem to struggle with, possibly becuse your head is so far up your own :) that when you spit your eyes water, but hey, thats a childish comment and this is no place for it. This is a place for discussing differing opinions not getting abusive and rude when someone doesnt agree with yours.

I think it shows a little, with the sound of his guitar in AWTD.

I doubt it. Perhaps they had both songs and Whine Ho's was worse. The lesser of two evils, etc. :(

I do like some of the musical ideas and Keyes' voice and delivery sounds as sweet as honey...too bad White gave her only three discernable, non-diluted/non-dueted lines.

It is the very popular , if not the most popular theme with fans.

Goldfinger is the most popular with the general public, but that's also the most popular film and book . The book is one of Flemings worst

I'd agree with that, i certainly think that the screenplay is an improvement on the original book. But on the topic of White preferring OHMSS, i did know it was one of the most popular among fans, but i thought with White's background in music something like Live and Let Die would be more to his taste's.

If Amy releases her Bond song it will be interesting to hear. I'm sure it will be a bigger hit than AWTD. It will also be very interesting to read what CBn members think of it. Except from those who like to judge others lifestyle , I doubt EON will come out of this too well

AHEM, anywho, back to topic. Does anyone here share my thinking that White gives Keyes too few - three - discernable lines. I mean, this is not really a duet... It's more a "Jack White - Featuring A Keys" single. No?

I don't think we will get to hear it before the end of the year. It would probably involve Winehouse getting organised and releasing it, promoting it and then peforming it.

I'm surprised by how similar I find their voices. Jack sounds like a girl on this track and i've never thought anything like that about his voice before.
I don't like how their voices are out of key in the instrumental section. It surely must be deliberate, but I just hate it
