Thunderball. Great to see Connery in his pomp. Great to see the Casino scene. "I thought I saw a Spectre on your shoulder".

I watched Quantum of Solace last night. I think it's one of the best. Stunning locations and beautiful cinematography. I think it's really good. Damn, now I'm dying to see Bond 23.

Watched Octopussy yesterday, actually... not the best Bond, perhaps, but easily the one I find the most outright entertaining.

For all its faults the film has a phenomenal sense of fun that I miss in a lot of movies these days. I'm a die hard Dalton fan, but Octopussy will always be a top three film for me!

I watched Quantum of Solace today. It was certainly better than I last remembered it.

Some lovely scenes in there. I still prefer Casino Royale though, without a doubt. Quantum is a grower though. Of course it has it's faults, and I think it really shows. I just felt that people like HildebrandRarity put me off it. I felt like I really didn't want to watch it when he was around, since he insisted on pushing it down our throats.

I'm just glad I could enjoy it again.

I watched Die Another Day the other day. I loved it as much as I always do. Before that, Live and Let Die, which I also enjoyed thoroughly. Casino Royale (the new, real one) before that. I think I'll watch The Spy Who Loved Me next.

The last bond film i fully watched was TMWTGG. It was actually really good, but after the slide whistle car chase, everything went downhill. Roger gave a very good performance as bond. I also noticed that the movie was very "brown", meaning that just about every shot had at least 3 to 4 different shades of brown. Scaramanga's car was brown, his bedroom was brown, most of Bond's suits had something brown, most of the sets had objects that were brown, it goes on and on.

One of my pet hates is people who criticise it, yet who haven't seen it for a while. Then they post saying they liked it, but don't amend their un-educated criticisms in other threads.

___

I watched From Russia with Love on Channel 7 last night. It's incredible. There are so many amazing scenes, and it is so beautifully and carefully directed. Surely Grant is the best Bond baddie of them all?

I've always enjoyed it, but over the last couple of years I started to go off it. I probably hadn't seen it for about six months before the other day. I'll always enjoy it.

That's fair enough.... B)

Some people criticise it without having seen it for years. Then they catch it on TV and say "It was better than I remembered".

The last Bond film that i have watched is "Never Say Never Again" and it was during december (i know it's been a while now).
I have been to the Christie's auction during the month of novembre and saw this beautiful drawing of the James Bond Warhead made by Maurice George Carter in 1978. At those times, i tought that a lot of great ideas passed trough the head of the producers during the preparation of NSNA. Maybe, it was the Bond movie with the most brillant pre-production concepts (due to the fact that UA or MGM was not involved in the process). It's a shame that the most of them were lost during the production stage (hopefully some of them are still in this movie).

I said I'd watch TSWLM next, but I watched DAF instead, even though I usually only watch it in December (along with OHMSS and TMWTGG). DAF was my first 007 film (way back in '71) and I won't hear or say a word against it. It's pure fun and everything a newbie could hope for. I suppose it influenced my expectations for the rest of the series, which may explain why I also like Octopussy and DAD so much (the latter seems to be despised by the same camp that despises DAF). I'll still watch TSWLM soon. I love that Lotus sub car (although it remains to this day more fantastic and improbable than an invisible Aston Martin)!

You Only Live Twice in widescreen HDTV. It looked gorgeous as ever and the final 30 minutes with Bond's meeting Blofeld for the first time and the ninja battle may be my favorite Bond finale ever.

"NEVER SAY NEVER AGAIN". And all I can say that it is absolutely the worst James Bond movie I have ever seen. Hell, "DIAMONDS ARE FOREVER", "TOMORROW NEVER DIES" and "GOLDFINGER" are masterpieces in compare to this movie.

I had not seen Quantum of Solace since it came out in the theatre since I was so disgusted with the film. I tried to watch it again at a friends house and after 10 minutes we turned it off. My distain for it still grows. So we watched Tomorrow Never Dies instead followed by The Living Daylights. God, how I miss traditional Bond movies!

For your eyes only

It's my favourite along with FRWL. It's a great Bond movie.

I even enjoyed Bibi's character more than normal. There's a lot to be said about the way Bond refuses to sleep with her. This is classic Moore as an ageing and world-weary spy. Maybe this should have been Moore's send-off after all.

This entry has excellent chase scenes, a darker Moore Bond, beautiful locations and the gorgeous Melina. And it also features one of the best ally introduction scenes in the entire franchise when Columbo explains everything to Bond. Brilliantly written scene.

Watched QOS again. Although I still think it is fairly good, still have the same pros and cons as when I first watched it.
Pros
Some stand out sequences particularly opera sequence, car chase, Siena foot chase. Craig. Acting good.
Cons. Joyless, not enough fun, too much(incomprehensible) action, feels like plot is there to string along from one action sequence to another.
Overall I enjoyed it though. But Casino Royale is still my favourite Craig Bond by some distance.

Watched A View To A Kill last night...Overall, albeit some nitpicks here and there, it's NOT a terrible movie...Love Christopher Walken as Zorin and Grace Jones as May Day..I think that if Timothy Dalton had taken over the Bond role here AVTAK would rank higher for me on my Bond favs list.. B)

Diamonds Are Forever.

Breezy romp, and thank goodness this franchise has variety. I think modern day Bond films focused on Bond's personal torment could take a leaf out of this film. I'm not asking for Diamonds Are Forever 2 - retain the Craig grit, but throw in more wit and fun. Especially now the Vesper arc is wrapped up. Focus on the thrill and privilege of being 007.

The Last Movie I watched was Quantum of Solace. I keep thinking if the movie was a bit longer and edited better like CR then it would be perfect bond Revenge movie.

I agree. Would love to see a 2-hour Quantum of Solace, with better editing on the action scenes. I bet it would be in my top 10 then.

Haven't watched a Bond film since You Only Live Twice a month or so ago.

I quite fancy a Casino Royale / Quantum of Solace double bill - I've never watched them together, believe it or not.
