Agreed, this movie has a lot of wit and completely different pacing. It's more of a mature Bond movie.Just watched Diamonds Are Forever, enjoyed it, I like Wint/Kidd and Charles Gray's Blofeld is great fun to watch, somewhat underrated I'd say. DAF is not the best of Bond films, but it's enjoyable anyway. Great John Barry soundtrack too.
What's the last Bond movie you watched?

Stunning, absolutely stunning! Both look beautiful in HD, but I have to say, Quantum of Solace PALES in comparison to Casino Royale, no doubt. Both are good movies in their own right, but the latter kinda let me down, even though I knew what was coming.

I enjoyed it. Great locations, nice plot, the humour is subtle but good. Once again, I just wish the editing was better on the chase scenes.

After TSWLM and MR, FYEO seems so...flat. It's not a bad pic, just not anything special; The PTS is frustrating but the early scenes are quite good and Cortina is a great location; the Cortina scenes are ruined quite a bit by Bibi (surely one of the worst characters in any Bond movie). The movie improves when we get to Corfu and the great Topol enters the picture.
Conti's score is still one of the weakest of the series and Glen's direction is heavy handed thorughout most of the pic.
It's not a bad pic, and better than what we were about to get in Rog's last 2 pics, but it doesn't come close to what had gone before...

It is my favorite Bond movie from the 1970s. And it featured one of Roger Moore's two best performances. My only complaint was Stromberg's plan to rule the world after destroying Moscow and Washington DC.

Octopussy...fantastic film minus that stupid Tarzan yell and a few other things but the movie is still great. The thing with Rog is that, no matter how many times I complain about his interpretation of Bond, you just can't help love the guy in the role because he's just so damn likable. I have much love and respect for Rog...may not be the best Bond in my book but he's certainly one of the most entertaining.
Just watched Octopussy too. 7/10 in my book, good Bond film. I love Steven Berkoff's crazy speech.

In fact, I'm letting (that is a much nicer term than making) my friend watch all of the movies when he wants to. This afternoon, we watched The Spy Who Loved Me. It was the first time I gained a real appreciation for the movie. It has never been my favorite, I'll just leave it there. The last movies my friend watched were TMWTGG and YOLT, which turned him off for three weeks to Bond. He really enjoyed this one. He is really looking forward to more, and I haven't seen him like this since we watched TND, one of his very first.
