I just watched The Spy who Loved me last night. I don't have much to do this summer, so I've been watching all of the Bond films in order.

Speaking of which, that's my favorite Roger Bond.

For Your Eyes Only. I'd rather watch paint dry. It's more entertaining.

I'm shocked! I love FYEO. It's my joint favourite of them all, along with FRWL.

I'm with Mhark on this one. I find FYEO, for the most part, to be boring as hell. Plus that creepy subplot with the teenage ice skater coming on to him... eewwww!!!

I wouldn't worry. Just 2 years ago, it was in his top 8.

Casino Royale
On Her Majesty's Secret Service
From Russia With Love
The Spy Who Loved Me
The Living Daylights
License to Kill
Live and Let Die
For Your Eyes Only

Used to be in my top 6. Mid to low teens these days. I've changed quite a bit, though.

Indeed. The same goes for Die Another Day 4 years ago, it was the best Bond movie ever made according to the majority of people on here.

Not that I can ever remember, as Die Another Day was largely reviled by the general CBn populace.

Just watched Casino Royale (2006) for the first time in nearly two years(!) I'd almost forgotten how good it was...

I think you can find a good deal of "DAD is the best Bond movie ever" type comments on here (and I don't just mean Zencat's infamous burst of enthusiasm) if you dig hard enough and find posts from the time of its initial release. You might even stumble across someone who listed it among their Top 3 films of all time (Bond and non-Bond) yet later replied "yes it was" to the question "was DAD really that bad?" And I didn't exactly go looking for this stuff...But I digress, and I suppose the general point is that people change their mind on things.

Dr. No on USA network last week. I've noticed that they've been playing quite a few Bond movies on there at various times. I believe 'On Her Majesty's Secret Service' was on this morning, but alas, I had to be a work.

I watched this film the other day and man, I couldn't hack it. It was so painfully long and boring I ended up getting a headache.

Watching the Bond's in order again and last weekend was OHMSS; which means this weekend had to be DAF....
Just as weak as always;
yes it has its moments...but it also has Connery's uninterested lazy performance (he couldnt get excited about Bond but he could about Zardoz???), Gray's over the top camp Blofeld, Lana Wood & Jill St John, a dull PTS, a sluggish plot and that horrible climax on the oil rig (that business with the tape was just awful).
Thankfully it has a great Barry score, some nice production design, the great theme song, some nice stuff in Amsterdam, the great Slumber inc scene and some nice business in Vegas (and its great to see Vegas as it was nearly 40 years ago!)

Still probably the weakest Bond for me...

Thankfully it's LALD next, one of my fave Roger outings...

I remember liking the tape-switching when I was a kid, but hating the fact that we didn't see Blofeld dead, covered in blood.

And I'm always amused that they re-did the whole tape swapping thing again in AVTAK!

i actually woke up because my sister had left her tv on since she watches law and order on usa network when she goes to bed. i was pleasantly surprised when i saw that on her majesty's secret service was on and proceeded to watch it on the big screen as i ate my breakfast.

Yeah, keep your eyes on USA. It appears they play them at random times during the day, but that Wednesday nights at 11:00 seem to be a set time for them.

One feels very proud to be a Bond fan after watching this. A true modern classic.

Been having a UE marathon recently. Just finished with DAF. Love the dialogue in that movie. Superb. There were some elements I didn't like when i was a teenager but now everything is growing on me well. One of the best soundtracks for a movie too.
G Hamilton is very good with characters and pulling a surprise or two but has no directing when it comes to action. I think Young and Gilbert fared much better with both. Still nothing can come close to sarcasm and wit other than DAF.
Also finished watching GE. Was again confused by the plot/dialogue.

Watched LALD this weekend;
thoroughly enjoyed it as always; a terrific start to Roger's stint as 007.

Working on reports from home this am and looks like USA has a Bond triple bill; LTK was on when I got up and right now OP is on, AVTAK up next (wont get to see any of that as I have to take off)

Seems like USA are showing the hell out of the movies right now; GF is on this weds;
