Anonymous typing on some bit of the internet will always be right. That's the law, that is.
Grr! Why won't they listen? I can understand why they won't read - if I were them, I wouldn't read this place either - but they owe me they owe me they owe me and I HAVE MADE THEM THEY CANNOT BETRAY ME THEY WILL FEEL MY WRATH.
They're power crazed! (NB obviously this post is a joke, otherwise I would have written in the house style of "Their power crazed")
The song is about them! A man and a woman! What next - Mickey sings the male bit and Babs sings the feamle bit (or the other way arounD????!!!???!! ROTFLMAOAOAOAOAOAO)

What do you mean by "a broken heart"? I can't find any refernce to that anywhere.Another way to die? A broken heart? Makes sense to me.

I'm sorry, Jim ... what?

Bond got his heart broken in Casino Royale and Quantum of Solace will deal with the repercussions. I see the title "Another Way To Die" as very appropriate to Bond's feelings and emotional state of being. Simply put, losing one's humanity = another way to die.

EON, you really have run out of ideas, haven't you!! I'm so glad they at least had the balls to pick Quantum of Solace as a title, something which doesn't have `Die' in the title. But as some have already said on here, I wouldn't be suprised if Another Way to Die was originally the title for Bond 22.
YKMN was one of the best tracks in decades, and this is in no small part to Arnold writing it. He is a much better songwriter than people give him credit for. But now EON are reverting back to the bad old days of Brozza. Shove `Die' in the title, and get someone else to write the song. Nice one, EON!!!
At least Faulks novel had come up with an original Fleming-sounding title. Devil May care is much more subtle, and much more Fleming. Fleming only ever slipped in the word `Die' in one title for Christ sake, yet EON think this word has to now be used in every new bleeding title. Get a grip, EON. I thought they had learned their mistakes from the bad old Brozza days....

My thoughts exact! That's why it sounds like fitting title for the song.

Yeah. But in order for the Devil to care you must be dead or as good as. lolAt least Faulks novel had come up with an original Fleming-sounding title. Devil May care is much more subtle, and much more Fleming.

Has anyone considered that Jack White himself may have came up with the title and not EON?
Well, it was written by Jack White. So take a wild guess.

Though I think he knew the synopsis of the story.

LOL!Sense!Sounds obvious, but I need to actually hear the song to know if I'll like it or not. No point me really loving the idea or hating it until then.
How dare you bring logic and sound reasoning into a Bond discussion! Now, who's starting www.whiteandkeysnotbondthemesong.com ?
Sometimes one has to think outside the Bond...I mean, box.

So you're saying that one must 'die' to know whether the devil cares... or not?

Oh, another act of shabby and misguided betrayal of webforum usernames by those hopelessly unsuccessful billionaires.

Thank you, Jim. Exactly my thoughts.
By the way, "Another way to die", being sung by a man and woman, is the perfect equivalent of Bond´s and Vesper´s relationship and its repercussions. Way to go, EON. You really know what you´re doing. Kudos to that. Maybe the whining fanboys one day will use their heads and interpret things instead of acting on their short attention span-impulses.

Well, given that Casino Royale and Quantum of Solace have had similar production time periods - but not identical; Cornell was announced on the 26th of July, while White and Keys were today, the 29th (or 30th, depending on where you live) - so I'd imagine it would become available to hear around the same time as You Know My Name was. However, as Another Way to Die is apparently a part of the film's soundtrack and not attached to the artist's album the way You Know My Name was, that could very easily be wrong. Now, is there any idea or indication as to when we'll actually get to hear it? End of September, beginning of October?

Jeez, this is phenomenal news. A duet with two great artists, plain and simple; one of which is a great songwriter with a UNIQUE voice (much like how Cornell's voice was very unique for Bond) and another who happens to be a great musician with a powerful voice of her own. Title be damned; "All Time High" wasn't that great, now was it?
I have full faith in Mr. White (no, not the character) and Ms. Keyes.

Thanks a lot. Of course I hope 'Another Way To Die' is going to leak somewhere in advance. Actually, I'm quite open-minded about this duet thing. Could well turn out a classic. Not sure about the title, but that doesn't really matter too much on a grander scale. And White and Keys are undoubtedly both great artists.

I certainly hope so too; I'm possibly more interested with this effort than I was for You Know My Name, and I'm a huge Cornell fan. Probably because it's a duet between two artists I never would have picked as doing a theme song individually, much less as a duet.Well, given that Casino Royale and Quantum of Solace have had similar production time periods - but not identical; Cornell was announced on the 26th of July, while White and Keys were today, the 29th (or 30th, depending on where you live) - so I'd imagine it would become available to hear around the same time as You Know My Name was. I am EXTREMELY disappointed in EON Productions. I am NO fan of Alicia Keys OR of Jack White, and this song had better the hell be good.
Now let's speculate on the end theme! The end theme is ALWAYS different from the title theme, has been since the 80s. They better the hell redeem themselves on the end theme.

Much what I thought when hearing White and Keys mentioned. I thought 'tabloid bull[censored]' like most of the other prefab-headlines from the last few months. And now those two together, that's really something to get excited about. Now I'm keeping my fingers crossed that this team can live up to expectations and win over the sceptics.

So they have to redeem themselves, do they? I wasn't aware you'd heard the title song.

But at least Eon may be aware of BJAgent700's displeasure now. Can't see them doing anything or even worrying about it though.Let me go ahead and say my piece on this:

As for the title, I'm okay with it, although I immediately thought it sounded similar to the recent Bond titles of the last 11 years.
I am disappointed in that it appears that David Arnold didn't have anything to do wih the song because I greatly enjoyed the two theme songs he has done in the series--The World Is Not Enough and You Know My Name as well as Surrender. Hopefully, he does mix in the theme throughout the score.
With all that in mind, I can't wait to hear it when it's finally released.

But Jack White brings hope. After all this guy did "Seven Nation Army".
My guess is it's gonna be a YKMN type song with a woman's touch.
Does anybody know whether they words "Quantum of Solace" will be in the song? It's hard to put in I know but it'll be strange to have 2 songs in a row without the title name in the song.

Quite.Oh dear. What a disappointment. A duet forged for corporate expediency. How dull. And I truly hope this isn't indicative of the quality of the film itself.
I can't help thinking they've dropped the ball with this one.
Why? What is wrong with jack White? He's probably the most credible act they've had doing the song for, well, as long as I can think. And a Bond movie trying to be populist- my, my; whatever next!
At any rate, I'm not willing to judge this collaboration just yet. Sure, it's uninspiring, but maybe the White/Keys pair will come up with a song that's surprising. It's not unimaginable.
Why is it uninspiring? I don't get it. Keys is unexciting, yeah, but White more than balances that out, surely?
Yes. And the reaction would be the same whoever the composer was.Don't tell me you're complaining that Arnold doesn't have enough involvement!?
Thing is, Jack White is better and more successful at writing songs than David Arnold.
