Well for DAD and CR the trailers where made before the song's where unveiled which might have affected it, if however the 29th is the correct date it may be on the trailer. Guess we'll find out tomorrow...Yeah, I would have thought that it's quite likely to be getting some airtime on the radio in the next week, or so.
It'll be interesting to see if they include a bit of the song in the new trailer, as well. They haven't done that for a while.

Why are they so big? Massive files there.
We must be about to hear it, though.

Think about it, one song, a 4 minute MP3 file is probably going to come out at something like 4 or 5MB.

I hope those ebay auctions are genuine since I just bought one. Oh well, if it's not I'm only out ten bucks.
I've bought from these sellers before so everything is above board, I've got the new Cold war Kids 7" turning up next week from the same supplier so I'll let you know if it turns up, it looks like Ltd 7" only version.
The way it should be, get more people to either dust off the deck or buy one, considerably better than the yuppy beermat!
Jack White undoubtedly behind this getting a vinyl release, The Raconteurs last album was available a good few weeks before the CD on vinyl.
Spin! Spin! Spin! Spin! Spin The Black circle! (Eddie Vedder)

Now Vedder would be an interesting choice for a Bond theme ... but Pearl Jam would never do it. They've spent the better part of their career deconstucting the fame that is attached to them.
Would Metallica pass for the same reason? I know people give them crap for selling out but it seems they pass up a lot of oppertunities because it devalues their contributions to the Metal genre.
BTW, I still want Metallica to do a theme one day

The artist I really wish they could get, though, is Erykah Badu.

Yes, that's an excellent choice. I would also like Toni Braxton but she seems to be done.

They did MI2, so I wouldn't put it past them if they were offered, your right PJ would not consider it, Eddie did Into the Wild recently but he's a big friend of Sean Penn's and it wasn't a commercial project.
The fact they've chosen White, shows they are actually looking at people who are relevant, Cornell used YNMN to launch the publicity for is awful 2nd album, Jack doesn't need to do that, he very rarely goes out of the spotlight.
He's a workaholic and it was only last year we got a great White Stripes album followed a year or so by an even better 2nd Raconteurs album.
I hope EON continues this trend and not flash in the pans like Diffy & Adele, I'd be interested to see what Hetfield and Metalica would bring to the table but it couldn't be thrashy and would need to be more Black Album and what they've done on the new album.
They worked with Michael Kamen so maybe a collab with Arnold muight bear some fruit, I personally would like to see people who are hungry and not got their best work behind them.
I'm still curious to see what Bono,Edge,Adam & Larry could bring to the party, I still think as well as been easily the best thing about Batman Forever, Hold me thrill me had the makings of a great Bond theme but got wasted on some Schmacher garbage.
U2 have been sitting on their creativity and delivering auto pilot efforts like All you can't... & Atomic Bomb, Bono say they are in a Achtung type innovative phase again and I ceratinly hope so, maybe U2 for Bond 23?
If an established act can produce the good and not use it has a jump off point for another tour or album like Cornell did, U2 have that luxery and so does Metalica I guess.

That's good news. It's one of my favorites, too. I can't wait to hear the full song.White used to listen to John Barry’s James Bond soundtracks in between early White Stripes gigs. On Her Majesty’s Secret Service’s instrumental theme song - one of Barry’s finest contributions to the 007 canon - was a particular favourite.

Kool. Looking forward to hearing what they've concocted. Thankfully I have avoided that one minute thing that was a radio rip (appearently a radio rip, with Spanish voice over?) and can hardly wait to hear it in full as intended.

I've got 19 of the 21 soundtracks and am hoping the song will get included in the Q0S CD. It's been, what, nine years since the Title song was on the soundtrack cd?

My bad,

Anyone here have any idea if the song will make it to the soundtrack this time?

It should climb over the following weeks. The UK chart has changed over the last 4 years and now includes downloads. This means that songs climb a lot more than they did between 1992 and 2004, when the trend was to enter at their highest position and slowly drop.
