It's really nice to know that they approached the film in such a thoughtful manner, not just slapping a generic "Bond song" together but rather trying to echo the story and characters.
My anticipation for this song just jumped way up.
I like the fact that White has been wanting to work with Keys for a while. I didn't realise they had any connection at all until then. It's good to hear and it seems that the respect is mutual.

Sounds like White and Keys will definetly beat out "I forgot your name".
Ha...speak for yourself.

YKMN is the best titles song since AVTAK. If KD Lang's was the title, then it would be the best one since her's.
I imagine White and Keys have cut a song which is closer to the James Bond style and sound than their own Alt or Hip-Hop/R&B styles....both of which I enjoy depending on mood, etc. I don't exepct it to be a combo of their two indigenous styles but rather Keys lending her vocals and White doing his interpretation of James Bond. He became James Bond, according to him, and so I thing the song will be more Bond than Alt. It won't be Hip Hop, which I enjoy but which is not Bond.
And while we're at it here are my all time highs:
Diamonds Are Forever
You Only Live Twice
A View To A Kill
Live And Let Die
OHMSS Theme
And special mention to Goldfinger for historical reasons.
Or maybe some of it will be used in the theatrical trailer.
I don't think so. What they did for CR served them very well. They need to have iterations of the James Bond theme in the trailer. That's more than enough.

Same here. Once I heard "Many Shades of Black" I was hooked. I immediatley downloaded the whole "Consolers of the Lonley" album. And I haven't stopped listening to it since.Really? Er, that's nice that you love his music. Hopefully you paid for it. If not, then I don't imagine you want to gleefully trumpet what you did, at least not here on this website. It's good to keep piracy to oneself. CBn, i'm sure you can appreciate, likes to be 'squeeky clean'...and rightfully so.

Even if he did download it illegally, is it really your business? No.
Anyway. Ever heard of Itunes? Napster? There's many legal ways of downloading music, whoever said he didnt? Not everyone sticks to using the pirate bay.

I'm happy that you said that. It's just struck me that White can be very experimental in his music, and as such, may not be to everyone's liking.Really? I heard most of what I have heard of Jack White on youtube and loved most of it the first time. The music of Jack White is a very acquired taste.
Again, good to see that people are liking their first sounds of White. If Another Way to Die has a similar vibe to Many Shades of Black then there shouldn't really be a problem. My concern is that we get a song similar to 300mph Torrential Outpour Blues - which could arguably be more divisive of opinions.Same here. Once I heard "Many Shades of Black" I was hooked. Of course what anyone does privately is no one else's business but there own. But are you saying that CBn thinks it's fine to admit piracy on this website? That's if (*IF*) it was downloaded illegally. And I caveated that in my post.
So, are you saying it's ok to admit to pirating copyrighted material on CBn?
Kindly think before answering.

Yes, but hat do those in charge say?So, are you saying it's ok to admit to pirating copyrighted material on CBn?

I don't think it's any worse or better than someone admitting on CBn that they played in an illegal poker game (they're all illegal here in SC) or that they sped on the way to work today.

I'm hoping we get to here this soon, the anticipation is killing me.
I fear the tune may kill us more. I'm not encouraged at all by Jack's claim that he screamed and moaned to get inside Bond's character. Has Jack ever sung a note that wasn't screamed or moaned? Windows will start breaking from here to Katamandu. Still, maybe with Keyes around he'll scream a little more softly.

It's not rock; they have a horn section. When was the last time you heard of a rock band that had a horn section?
Hoobastank used to. When they were good.
....and, doesn't eh theatrical version of YKMN have horns?
