Very true. Within the last year though, he is the producer most associated with adding brass parts to his work. It's his musical signature.Ronson isn't the only producer in the business ...The addition of horns sounds like a very Ronson-esque angle to this tune. Beautiful.

Fair enough. I'm just deeply skeptical of everyone suddenly thinking Amy Winehouse is the only person who can sing (not that I'm accusing you of that, though).Very true. Does Winehouse have Memphis Horns in her song?
I don't THINK so.
Shut up.

I an officially, 100% excited about hearing this. I love how they are obviously singing about Bond and Cammile. The one thing I loved about Crows Tomorrow Never Dies is that she was singing about Paris.

On the plus side, David Arnold told someone last Sunday that he liked the song. So presumably he'll work it into his score. A big positive. I shall give the song every shot. But....
...was no-one else worried at all about the reference to 'Screaming and moaning'?
my two bits.

Doesn't mean to say he hasn't done one anyway.Ok. I'm still disappointed the movie's composer did not write the song.

Ok. I'm still disappointed the movie's composer did not write the song. I'm willing to give White a chance as he's a respected musician and composer, but don't particularly like his stuff. Keys...I like a lot. She has a great voice, but I'm unsure if it's suited to the kind of Bond song I like.

Why should anyone be worried about 'screaming and moaning'?

And given these comments, I can see him being the one who came up with the atrocious title of the song. Now watch it be amazing. This Jack White is an odd fellow.

Here's a Raconteurs track with the Memphis Horns. White gets a huge sound out of them.

What he says should get me excited, but the way he says it leaves me either confused or annoyed. Sorry if I'm being petty.

Haha yeah he seems half-crazy after reading his quotes. The good thing is it still sounds encouraging!

Sounds great and now I want to buy their album. Thanks a lot...
Very different sound than, let's say in the last White Stripes album that I just happen to own. Not that it a big accomplishment... owning an album.

Well, the exact quote seems to be that he (Arnold) “thinks the title song is great.” a bit stronger than "liked the song."
Interesting, very interesting, bodes well for the possibility of him using it in the score.

'I became James Bond,' singer says
Bang! Showbiz | Monday, 25 August 2008
Jack White claims he "became" James Bond when he recorded the new movie’s theme song.
The White Stripes frontman, who has joined forces with Alicia Keys on Another Way to Die, felt the British spy’s pain as he "screamed and moaned" through the track - which will feature in Quantum of Solace.
He said: "I drummed for Alicia’s voice and she mimicked the guitar tones. Then we joined our voices and screamed and moaned about these characters in the film and their isolation, having no one to trust, not even themselves.
"Maybe we became them for a few minutes."
Jack also revealed he had wanted to work with the No One singer for years and was delighted when the opportunity finally arose.
He added to America's OK! magazine: "After a couple of years of wanting to collaborate with Alicia Keys, it took James Bond himself to finally make it happen.
"Alicia put some electric energy into her breath that cemented itself into the magnetic tape. Very inspiring to watch. It gave me a new voice, and I wasn't myself anymore."
