I've seen enough to get started on my movie review. Has that thread been opened yet?

Even the car chase looks 'Try Another Day'.

I'm as giddy as a little girl at the start of December.

That is virtually how long we have to wait before it premieres here in Australia!!

I wandered back into this thread expecting to find more speculation about when exactly we would be able to see this clip... and I find the clip itself! Fantastic stuff. I love that camera shot with the motorbike. Still looking forward to this trailer... but at a restrained level

Hi Vauxhall, what are you doing up so late? Yes, great shot of the bike, I agree.

Yeah, now that we all know at least what the film looks and plays like, we will be able to make it to Monday.

Hi Dave, yeah just been out and about for a few drinks in Wimbledon. Lots of tennis players around! Certainly liking the look of this brief teaser, and excited about what the trailer could bring. I think that there is some sort of distinct look about the movie in comparison to CASINO ROYALE but I can't quite put my finger on it yet... hopefully the trailer will help us identify the stamp that Forster has put on QUANTUM OF SOLACE.

Cool. I am at work, it's almost midday Friday in Sydney. Lovely sunny day.

Last time I went to Wimbledon to see some tennis (2003), they ran out of Pim's!!! Had to settle for beer LOL.

Yes, it does have a distinct look. I described it as LTK-CR-TSWLM before but it also looks like a Marc Forster film too (which it is, funnily enough!)

In the risk of getting my head bashed in, and judging by just a 10 second trailer, all I can say is...

Pierce Brosnan's Bond is back.

Do you think it looks a little like Goldeneye? Or is the action you are talking about? I think I know what you mean, though.

It's definitely the action, for me. I was thinking the same thing as well, regarding the return of the days of the Brosnan Era approach to filmmaking. Hopefully the action will at least be interesting to look at unlike during the Brosnan Era, but it would be nice to, at least once, get a Bond film that puts the story ahead of the endless parade of action sequences.

This is getting silly already. So now any hint of action scenes, nine seconds of footage, and its already DAD part 2 for some of you? Nobody here has any idea what the context is of any of these scenes. And since when was action in a Bond film a negative? Has anyone here watched say, TSWLM lately? That has car chases and fights all the way through it, so is that "Brosnan Era" too? How about Goldfinger? Ooh, Bond drives a car pretty fast in that one too. Definite "Brosnan Era" style there.

So why were Breakfast showing it? If it was on at the end it seems like they were trailing something that would be on tomorrow...?

Well the clock at the bottom said that it was roughly quarter past 9 when they aired it. Is that when the show ends?

BBC Breakfast ends at 9.15am.

So were they trailing something they are going to dicuss Friday morning, GMT?

No, there was nothing on it. They did have a preview of what's going to be on Friday's show, but there was no mention of Bond there either  So maybe this is Sky News all over again

Amazing how an 11 page commentary thread can result from 9 seconds of randomly selected bits of the film. All .16% of stuff that might possibly be in the film.

SO SHORT BUT SOOOOOOOOO GOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOD!

THANK YOU!

That's a Nick Nack quote, right?

Motorbike scene looks great, but Eon will need to be careful as it could easily be seen as a Bourne Ultimatum rip-off. Favourite bit is the clip of the DBS from behind in the chase - looks extraordinary.

It looked like Steve McQueen riding that bike.

Maybe Daniel Craig is the second coming of the King of Cool. Both are equally deserving of the title "His Manliness".

You see, basically, this is in the internet. The primary hobby of most people on the internet is whining and moaning and complaining about absolutely anything they can and talking about how everything sucks and / or is going to suck. Ergo, 8-out-of-context seconds of 3 or 4 action scenes means this film will be not only the worst Bond film ever, but the worst film ever made in the history of humankind. People on this forum get it, man.

I must mention something I've noticed. A majority of members on the CBn forums seem to be extremely enthusiastic and genuinely elated about the upcoming film QoS, and it's very refreshing and engaging to read people's posts and discussions here about it. I say this in comparison to other Bond forums, namely MI6, where the main point of view is doom and gloom for QoS, and, "who cares if a new Bond film is coming out?"

Also, CBn seems to always be first in with up to the minute Bond news, so kudos to all!

Did you expect them to put dialog scenes into 9 seconds of film? If I remember the CR trailer right, he had 45 % action scenes in it and that´s what we will get with QOS too. There will be enough character development - Forster and DC will have seen to that and said so on several occassions - as often as they talked about the more action.

I never spend any time at other Bond sites, but at eventful times, I glance at what is going on, and they are always behind with their news. Just goes to show how good the team are here at CBn.

Are they really doom & gloom over there? What a terrible way to be! (about anything, not just a new Bond movie).

I probably exaggerated there a bit. There just seems to be quite a lot of members who enjoy bringing other's opinions down and belittling their enthusiasm. I've been hanging around here a lot more now and find there's a lot more excitement amongst fans.

Its not that bad. There were only one or two, who couldn´t share the excitement - but nobody listened, really. From what I have read, it was pretty much the same as here.
