A lot of films being compared to Bond these days, but not too many Bond films being compared to Bond.

That's probably because, by the time SKYFALL is released, the world will have gone four years without a Bond film.

Or because there hasn´t been a good Bond film for 6 years now.

Ooooooooooooooooooohhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh............

Ok :D I´ll refrase it...mildly

...Or because there hasn´t been a brilliant Bond film for 6 years now...

Hey, I liked QOS, but in the Bond world, "to like" is never quite enough.

IGN reviews prologue sequence, with mild spoilers:

http://movies.ign.co.../1214310p1.html

So, from what everyone´s saying, a conversation between the Bat and Bane should be quite the baffling experience :D

Batman: immmmmmberasasrasrtmasdafsfanasdasfasf!
Bane:immmmmmmmmmgonnnnnnnabreoihsaofihaoakoiyoaijfuroasfhsajbback!

Something like that? :dizzy:

Apart from that, sounds like it´s going to be epic

Goes to show Bond lives forever. They could have easily compared that prologue with MI:2 or Cliffhanger, but they still think of...what?...GF? TLD? God forbid...DAD? But still, Bond lives on

So the virals are starting to come out.

Also more (apparently genuine) prologue deets.

Operation Early Bird is up. Don't expect too much - it's just a map showing IMAX cinemas with n advnace screening of the prologue. You can book tickets through it, but there isn't much else.

Expected more and was a bit disapointed :(

Yeah, thought it was going to be something more interesting but it's whatever. If I was more of a Batman/Nolan fan or it were closer, or at least not so damned late at night on a Tuesday, I'd probably consider going. As it is I'll probably just wait for the prologue to hit the net, which I'm sure it will at some point, even if it gets pulled just as quickly.

In retrospect, we should have guessed what the site was going to be. Its name is "Operation Early Bird", and it reveals locations and bookings of advance screenings of the prologue.

The beauty of filming in IMAX is that the screen is so big that anyone trying to make a bootleg copy cannot hope to capture the entire screen. We saw it with the prologue to THE DARK KNIGHT, when only about a third of the screen was visible at any one time.

True. Once I saw it it made sense but in lieu of the "documents" that came out and someone plugging the coordinates from the Leonid Pavil twitter account into google maps and finding it just outside of Tblisi (and with there being other references to Georgians), I thought it may be something more along those lines. Especially with the spotty signal reading of coordinates on the official website.

Also true. Still won't stop people from trying though. And even if it doesn't happen, we're supposed to be getting a new trailer on the same day IIRC so that's something.

Wonderful poster! The marketing for Nolan's Batman has been truly excellent.

Nolan flick posters sure love characters with their backs turned.

Good poster. Seems to me Batman is really going to get smashed in his first encounter with Bane.

FYI, the prologue attached to the IMAX "M:I4" has leaked online, but it's in very poor quality. The last thirty seconds or so of the clip is a montage of shots from the entire film. Some beautiful shots of the Batwing (or whatever it'll be called) in action.

There's vid now? Makes sense I guess, now that the screenings have happened. Friend linked me to an audio leak at like 3pm that's surprisingly good quality. Bane didn't sound too bad. It sounds like the prologue's pretty sick, though without visual it's kinda hard to not laugh at some of what's being said.

Am I the only one that isn't that excited? Nothing has given me a good reason to be really elated for this film yet. Unfortunately, that seven minute section didn't help.

Wasn't terribly impressed myself, but then again the quality is bad. We shall see, I trust Nolan.

We're in for the Godfather of superhero movies. The whole Occupy Wall Street movement and wealth disparity debates really fell into Nolan's lap with this one.

Yeah, I found it underwhelming as well, now that I've actually seen it with vid (and two different vids with focal points on the screen, so with a bit of a more full picture). It's not awful, but it's not fantastic either. I'm honestly not in love with the opening of TDK either. To be fair I'm not as in love with TDK as just about everyone else to begin with , but I rewatched TDK the other day and that heist sequence doesn't really do anything for me. (And having rewatched them both recently, I have to say I think Begins is better overall, but that's another debate altogether)

The trailer, though, I like. LQ and hard to hear some lines though it is, it seems pretty cool and I can't wait to actually see it in the cinema.

Honestly TDKR is the only superhero flick I've been properly excited for in years, and I have mixed feelings about that. I was excited to Cap prior to the leaking of deets and the trailers, and then after going pretty much just because I'm such a die hard Cap fan, it turned out to be epic. Went to go see First Class just because I love me some X-Men, and heavily flawed though it was, it was still pretty awesome. So I am hoping my being excited for the TDKR doesn't follow this trend and therefore my being excited for it means it will be lame.
