Good point. Not sure if that's a good or a bad thing though.

Bad if you are an early adopter & good to middle of the road for everyone else. I'm sure this will be the first of may re-releases to come.

Hopefully we'll get some indepth details on the listing of new special features that will be on this new edition soon. Be nice to have a clearer idea of what fans will be getting.

I believe that THE FIFTH ELEMENT has also been re-released as well.

yes, but they were the exact same contents apart from redone picture quality. This is the first time a new extended edition with additional bonuses is released, I think.

The first Full metal jacket BD/HD DVD was a bare-bones release (trailer sole extra) in September 2006; the Deluxe edition with different cover art, new supplements (commentary & documentary) and a remastered transfer was released in October 2007.

I wonder how much of the added content (for CR and the six other Bonds being released) will be through online connectivity. I'm hoping not too much, but fearing the worst.

The Cover Art is brilliant, nice to see the teaser poster make a comeback again. It looks beautiful.

Beautiful cover art! This is the CR DVD I've been waiting for. Honestly, I wish more of the Bond films had cover art this atmospheric.

I knew there was a reason I was holding off on buying CR.

Interestingly, the cover is slightly different from the poster. It is framed differently and much brighter.

That's a very good looking DVD set and makes me really wish that I hadn't bought the film on its first release. I won't be purchasing it, though, but the packaging does look very good.

Anyone else notice the booklet? I wonder what's in it. Probably just a mini making of. I can't wait for this DVD though, I hope it is released in the UK.

And there's also a blu-ray!?! Damit, I just snapped and double dipped with the current Blu-ray release yesterday, you see at work we had it on special this week for $20, down from $35, and there was one copy left hiding in the back that I got, looks like this will be my first double dip on blu.

Well If you already own Casino Royale on Blu, I think it would be pointless to buy it again. I dont think the features would be in High Def, though I could be wrong. Plus I'm getting the DVD version for the brilliant cover design and slip case.

Hmm, all looks nice, but I was hoping we'd get an "unrated" cut which included the extra footage of Fisher being dragged across the bathroom, and Obanno's head smashing into the window on the stairs, etc.

I've just realised that there is two commentary's listed, we know one is a crew commentary, what is the other? Is it a directors commentary?
