If the next Bond film can produce action sequences and effects work that match the standard of 'xXx' I'll be happy.
If it combines that with a smartly written script like, for example, 'Bourne Identity' I'll be euphoric.

(More likely though it'll be rehashed, warmed-over bilge like DAD, so I'm not getting my hopes up.)

xXx is so weak, it's an adequate film, but by no means does it set a new standard and hey it's got plenty of iffy CGI too...DAD was a much better film than xXx...

Agreed Jack, DAD is by far a better movie. I'd have to be on crack to enjoy XXX, (even on crack I probobly wouldn't like it).

Right now, it seems as if Vin Diesel is getting too ahead of himself. Aside from working on "Riddick" (for which I think there are another two sequels planned as well), he also has XXX2, some movie called "NY Giant" (a drama, actually - don't see much promise there), and now he also wants to be Marvel's "Silver Surfer". Give him SS - he's a pretty weak character anyway, these days (well, in comparison to "Spider-Man" and "X-Men"). Ol' Slaphead won't rest until he's in every movie made within a year...

Diesel is very weak--not nearly as good as DAD--I could make something better than XXX--the next XXX should star Barbara Bach (Anya from TSWLM) as agent XXX, she could do better than Diesel

Diesel's new action movie, A MAN APART, opened in third place behind an Amada Brynes teeny bopper flick called WHAT A GIRL WANTS. Diesel is fading fast. They better make XXX2 on a shoestring budget if they expect to see any profit. Better yet, don

Do you think we could get a pic of these two women in a mud wrestling ring beating the **** out of Vin Diesel? It worked for John Candy in Stripes.

Maybe this could be the plot to XXX2 - Diesel is sent to take out the original XXX, only to fail and be eliminated...only for Diesel to find out on the set that they aren't using blanks, either.....

Diabolical, I know...

I'm willing to wager that the spy movie I'll be making within a year's time will be more enjoyable than XXX.

Diesel says they have the scripts for xXx 2 and xXx 3 ready with one to be filmed in Washington D.C. and the other in the Orient.

A couple of minutes ago i have seen Triple X.
Yesterday i buy it on dvd.
Before i saw the movie i heard bad things and goodthings about it.

And i must say i like it.

It's a kind of what compete Missionimpossible is too.
We have a new kind of secret agent.

What do you think would happen if Bond 21 and one of the XXX sequels both opened up on the same day to battle it out at the Box Office? Who do you think would win? If Bond 21 beat out XXX, do you think that would be the end of XXX?

It would never happen, one studio (most likely Sony) would move their film from that date. Just look at how X-men2 kept moving around to get some room from The Matrix. Big budget films with similar themes and target audiences just don't open on the same day. As for Bond vs XXX, Worldwide, DAD made $430m ... XXX made $267m. XXX isn't any more competition for Bond than The Jack Ryan Series or the Bourne Identity, there's room for all of them in the markeplace, as long as they make a profit.

Bond 21 should crush XXX2 if they did come out on the same day, but I seriously doubt that it would ever happen. DAD beat out Harry Potter on DAD's first weekend which was Potter's second weekend!

By the time XXX2 comes out, Vin Diesel may prove to be a flash-in-the-pan. His last couple projects have bombed and he passed on the Fast and the Furious sequel, which could have been a reasonable hit if he was in it.

Thank God no one in my workplace wastes time obsessing about the "cool factor" of either Pierce Brosnan or Vin Diesel.

I loathed the entirety of XXX about as much as I loathed the 2nd half of DAD, and I have to say I've never been bowled over by the acting ability of Diesel, though I feel Brosnan has turned in respectable performances in decent movies. Diesel strikes me as an actor on par with John Travolta--he has charisma and screen presence, sure, but he radiates zero intelligence and depth. A year from now, there'll be some other "cool, hip" actor being fawned over by the media and Diesel will be out of the spotlight.

I'm guessing "Riddick" is a sequel of sorts to "Pitch Black", and, BTW, they signed...

...Judi Dench to co-star! Go ahead, discuss!

According to the "Hollywood Reporter" Lee Tamahori may direct XXX2 if Rob Cohen takes a pass. Could he possibly make it worse than the first...or DAD?
