This Hancock film sounds interesting.

Shame they couldn't persuade Daniel Craig to play Sid James, though.

The only interesting thing about it is the inevitable defacing of the "Will Smith is Hancock" line on the posters

I assume it's a bio of legendary British comedian Tony Hancock. I can't wait to see what Will Smith does with the blood donor sketch.

Hancock World Premiere Scrapped

The world premiere of Will Smith's new film Hancock has been scrapped because the final print of the film won't be ready in time.

Smith and co-star Charlize Theron were planning to fly to Sydney, Australia for the film's first screening on 10 June, but a print delay has scuppered the plans.

According to the Sydney Daily Telegraph newspaper, Hancock's world premiere is now scheduled for France a week later.

...and unless I am completely missing the dry wit here of Royal Dalton, this is what Hancock's about..
"A hard-living superhero who has fallen out of favor with the public enters into a questionable relationship with the wife of the public relations professional who's trying to repair his image".
Hardly riveting stuff. :( Maybe best if the trailer is not accompanying that.

Might have been funny if the same gag hadn't already been done at the top of that page

I suppose next week's release of The Incredible Hulk is our last hope for a trailer before Hancock. Unless they release it the following week with Get Smart - as I suggested several weeks ago. But with that release date being so close to Hancock's - one would have to wonder.

It will be really disappointing - but in line with what Sony Executive's said at Showest - if we have to wait till July 2nd.

Hulk and Get Smart are not Sony movies. Its gonna be Hancock. But hopefully it will leak onto the net any day now.

In the interim, you'll bear witness to the unveiling of the 2nd generation iPhone, Shamaylan's "The Happening," "The Incredible Hulk," various outdoor concerts and Euro 2008.

Trust me, the next three weeks will go by real fast.

All that guy's movies stink. Or at least the couple I've been snookered into seeing... no thanks.

And The Hulk looks really iffy to me.

I think hardly anyone has seen it. Theres a lot of irrational hatred for Shyamalan on the internet which I can't explain (actually I do have a theory but I dont want to say it out loud!). Quite why these people reserve their hatred for a talented filmmaker and not, say, the makers of Date Movie, is anyone's guess.

I don't hate the guy, just think the couple films of his I've seen are dumb, and so I'm not that interested in what he does. He's not untalented, sure, but his films still end up being dumb. IMHO, but then again I haven't made a point to see all of them... don't watch Hanna Montana either but I hear there's a lot of people who do.
