Also in Goldfinger how did Oddjob see the neck of Masterson while it was pitch-dark and she was running on the woods?

He didn't have to see her neck. He could see her head and hair (in the light from the auto headlamps) and make a pretty good surmise of where her neck would be.

It's just like I've told people for years -- this stuff could actually happen!

Brosnan sank all of his films; even in GoldenEye, everybody out-acted him.

One of his directors should've gone up to him and said, "Okay, Pierce, for this next take, how about you try NOT yawning your lines?"

The 007 camera from Moonraker. Works great for bond, but I wonder what type of picture agent 16 or agent 84's cameras take.

Connery in the beginning of DAF..."Blofeld...where is he ? I am looking for Ernst Stavros Blofeld....where is Blofeld.....tell me where he is"

Also

- Pierce Brosnan period.

- Judi Dench orders to Bond: "Stay Onnatop of things" -- "Pump her for information"

- The frequent and inappropriate use of the Bond theme in the Connery era.

- The beach boys song at the slopes in AVTAK. Is this a naked gun movie?

- The first Moneypenny (looked like a teacher from The Wall by Pink floyd)

- Madonna.

- Sped-up shots during the Connery.

- FRWL - Grant taking his time in putting on gloves before he can kill Bond. Why did he wait so long? (I'm going to kill you..and what else, let me see what else can we can talk about...have you heard the one about the jew and the arab?)

- TMWTGG - Bond grabbing the Sumo's butt.

- YOLT - What was the deal about the "Bond must become Japanese" thing? It was so long, in the middle of the plot, unnecessary, etc. It just killed the tension altogether.

- YOLT - too much cat petting...I am surprised if that cat wasn't aroused after the fact.

- The Identograph in FYEO.

- CR, Bond driving the Ford Mondeo from the airport. It is not product placement. It goes beyond that. It's such a long 60 sec commercial. We get to see the whole ride along the coastline and into the hotel, with the main theme playing. I still can't swallow it.

- TSWLM - The ticker tape watch.

- In DAF, Mr. Wint & Mr. Kidd (they were so dull and their relationship was beyond weird).

- LTK's stupid wedding.

- TND's Paris Carver.

I always hated that they didn't kill off Leiter in LTK.. I feel that would have really driven Bond off the edge & help set up the movie. Also Leiter at the end of the movie.. YOUR WIFE'S BEEN KILLED!! He appears to have forgotten all about it.
While we're on LTK.. that bloody winking fish!!?

Hey, that pigeon's grandchildren are still alive and they get upset when people criticse their Grandad's work. He was only following orders.

Agree with many of the above. Especially the ham-handed lines in TWINE: "Cold-blooded murder is a filthy business" and "You won't kill me!" Just awful, obvious, leaden.

One more: OP--When 009 (if I've got the right number) is killed in his clown suit, the dagger very obviously doesn't penetrate his back far enough to do much harm. But it was good enough to use because it's only Bond, it's all just pretend. A symptom of some of the sloppiness that had crept into the productions during that era.

AVTAK's:
Zorin: "I trust you slept well?"
Bond: "A little restless but I got off eventually."

First time I saw the movie, this line (fortunately) went over my head.
Now, it just yicks me out.

First Bond movie I saw, at the age of 12. My first thought was that he meant he got off of top of her(?). It was only later that I got the real meaning...

I like all the EON Bond films but most have an irritation. Brosnan, although not awful , was never good. Too skinny, looks like a model, weird accent. He looked and sounded so wrong. THE BEST SINCE CONNERY the movie mags and tabloids shouted. I never thought that. So Brosnan himself was not the irritation but the press unwarranted adulation was

Connery in YOLT was disgusting. He must have known that millions were going to spend their hard earned on watching him , yet he couldn't be bothered turning up. He ruined what could have been a great , albeit stupid, bond movie

That's a bit harsh??

I think all the actors did a good job in all of the movies. Lucky me. I can pop any of the DVDs in the machine, and enjoy it without being constantly irritated.

Just watched OHMSS again last night. Wow, I never realized how often they dubbed George's voice in that movie! Some have pointed it out in this thread, and so I was taking note of it. Why did they do that? It sounds rediculous!

Do you mean all the scenes where Bond is masquerading as Sir Hilary Bray? Lazenby was supposed to do his dialogue imitating Bray, but EON had no confidence in Lazenby pulling off his imitation correctly, so they dubbed his Bray scenes, using the actual actor who played Bray in the movie.

The rest of the time, that's Lazenby's voice. It's the Australian guy trying to speak with a British accent.

For all of the acting irritations, I never got the impression that any of them gave anything less than 100% of their abilities at the time. We should actually blame the writing for the awful dialogue that the actors had to spew out, especially the truly groan-inducing ones Brosnan had to say with a straight face.

Seriously, two of the greatest irritations to me are things that most members love. Every time I hear The Line or "Shaken, not stirred, Mr. Bond?" I'm completely yanked from any sense of realistic fantasy. These deadly duds should be put to rest after forty-plus years of service. So should any other suggestion that Bond is a superstar who's known wherever he goes. Buh-bye.

Yes it does, but where are the cameras coming from? They show side views of Blofeld's spaceship heading toward the US spaceship. What do they have, a second spaceship following the main spaceship? I never understood that!

Surprised they didn't bring Andy Gray in to do the commentary.

Yeah, a bit like the camera angles in YOLT when they are watching the henchmen's car drop into the ocean. There are secret spy cameras everywhere I guess (even floating in the sky.

I got quite irritated by the PTS of Goldfinger, Bond kisses the girl, that parts fine, but why didn't he move his mouth? All he did was put his mouth over hers for about 10 seconds. No movement at all  I've noticed that this has happened alot in the early movies.
