The bid will remain relatively unchanged on some hot item until the last few minutes when everybody starts bidding, and you have to keep hitting refresh just to keep up to date.

I suggest posting an exact time when the poll will be closed, so that we can all refresh the page on this board during the last five minutes or so to watch how many votes suddenly come in.[/quote]

It was close there for a while, but no longer.

I thought you were about to say "but no cigar"...

That said, I'm with MkB. Everyone who can vote should vote. Who knows? It's entirely possible that something dramatic could happen in the next two days! Isn't democracy wonderful?

Exactly! Let's look at it this way: 37 votes so far, and 9106 registered members on CBn... There's room for some thrilling democratic developments!

And I want to stress the fact that I don't say this because I'd like the tables to turn: the current leader even had my vote!

Would it make sense and/or be possible to put a teaser on the main home page letting people know they can vote for the title of the CBnet Centenary collection?

These previews are brilliant, Jim! I didn't think it was possibly, but you've increased the excitement surrounding this project still further! It looks like we've got an absolutely wonderful line-up of original James Bond adventures with which to celebrate Ian Fleming's centenary. I can't wait to read more.

Will we get to know the CBn screen name of the contributors? I know some, but it would be nice to know who's who for each story.

Well, I can reveal the identity of at least one of the contributors. I'm Brian A. Dixon, author of "Between the Shadow and the Soul." I've said it before and I'll say it again: I couldn't have had more fun working on the story and I'm proud to be a part of this project.

I'm Ryan R. Scott, author of "All's Hell That Ends Well." It was great fun banging this story out, and I'm glad to see I'm included amongst some noticeably intriguing side trips into the life of our favourite hero. I've just started reading some of the local fanfic, and I can't believe how great some of them are. I'm sure this collection will be no different.
