OK the Target bonus DVD still seems to be a bit of a mystery. The following was posted on the DVDtalk forum :

"I saw the Casino Royale deluxe edition today and it says it comes with a bonus book. It is in a very large package. It's about the size of their The Hills Exclusive, but about 3 times thicker. I didn't notice anything about a bonus disc, just the book. Maybe the ad is incorrect."

The ad clearly says that it includes a bonus making of "DVD", yet the photo clearly looks like the Bond on set mini-book that is one of the UK exclusives. I guess we aren't really going to get to the bottom of this until one of us hits up a Target on Tuesday morning.

BTW Fry's will be selling the DVD for $13.88, no bonuses included.

Did I read that right on the site? Target's DVD will be $22.99? I certainly hope it is something worthwhile.

That's the price for their exclusive version. The regular DVD will probably be around $17.

Update for 03/13/2007:
I went into my local Target this morning to pick up the DVD and bonus disc. However, it is NOT a bonus disc but in fact a reprint of the book "Bond On Set" for the film, that is why the artwork is the same. Just an alert before people become disappointed after they rush out to find that this is not what they wanted.I still bought though :cooltongue:

I got it at Target also. I do not like cards and I do not want an Aston Martin Corgi. Since I do not have the book, I decided to purchase at Target. I can not wait to get home to view it! :cooltongue:

Take care,
Greg

I just got my DVDs at both Wal mart & Target. The Target has a mini hard cover version of "Bond on Set", there is no "Making of" DVD.(At least at the Target I went to).

I went to Walmart this morning to pick up the box set. I accidentally bought the Full Screen version. (It was so silly that they put the full screen editions on there main promotion self.) I thankfully noticed it just before I broke the sticky seal on the DVD. Anyway I ran back and traded it for the widescreen. I was impressed with collectable cards and poker chip. The DVD transfer was excellent. I have a projector and surround sound setup in my basement and it looked and sounded excellent. I'm not a fan of the pre-menu trailers but they are easily skipped.

I saw the Region 2 edition in Woolworths earlier today. I'm not sure if you could buy it, or not, but the cases were out on display.

I said something about going to Walmart after work and one of my old team told me not to bother - they were buying it for me as a going-away gift. So I get it tomorrow for free! :cooltongue:

Yeah no booklet, I can't believe it! It's the only 007 DVD without one! how lame...

For a moment I though I was ripped off, but now reading your posts it seems they didn't include one, I wonder why aren't more people upset with this...

I got it at Best Buy with the car. I have to say the special features aren't very good, and this 2-disc stuff is strictly for marketing. They packed more than that on the old Special Edition Bond dvds.

Just got the DVD today. I'm a little bit disapointed because the Wal-Mart store in my town only got Fullscreen versions of the bonus set (poker set). So i asked if they where going to have the widescreen version and they said no... I called at 3 other stores near my town (in the province of Quebec, Canada) and they all said the same thing : only Fullscreen versions... Seems they forgot us :cooltongue:

I would just like to tell the CBN staff to stop calling Blu-Ray's Blu-Ray DVD's! Blu-rays and DVD are two seperate things. Thanks.

I bought the DVD version...with the Blu-ray on the way in a few weeks.
