It was actually AKB that I first emailed, asking him if I could help out with his site.

Yes, but how does it feel to know you were involved in making some innocent guy feel some undeserved pain? Did you feel good? Did you enjoy the fact that he suffered? Did it make you happy?

I'd leave it now, HR. You've already made your point. I think GS knew where to draw the line with the Craig-bashing. He was against the casting and new direction set by EON, but he never endorsed the behaviour and material of CnB (he said so himself). If you want to ask these questions, point it at someone like Brayton, who I'm pretty sure has no morals whatsoever. GS shouldn't be tarnished with the same brush just because he opposes Craig.

Yeay good point JSW.That

No, I wasn't banned. The guy who called me "he/she/it" on the last page put me on the moderated list for insulting people.

I can't shed any light on her, and wouldn't want to. Some things are better left hidden in the darkness.

Don't you lot know how to use Google?

But, like I've said before, he got real concerned that the site could be traced back to him, so he dumped it IMMEDIATELY. He said someone on the forums was poking around (He said it was a reporter. SpyNovelFan, are you THAT reporter?) in his personal business, so he had to cut ties with the site.

I certainly hope so. But I didn't poke around in his 'personal business' - I searched for the name of the owner of the site on Google and discovered he was a Commissioner for the state of New York's Department of Youth and Community Development. This is public knowledge. I think *he* poked around in Daniel Craig's personal business.

By the way, it was obvious almost instantaneously that 'Ali Kerim Bay' had set up the site - he announced it to this forum and refused to reply when people asked if he had anything to do with it - a search on his previous posts showed up many of the 'jokes' about Craig's looks that he used on the site. Why I didn't think to follow the registered domain name a little more then I don't know. Wish I had.

Thing is, she's obviously just a sad Pierce Brosnan obsessive. The other guy was commissioner for youth services for the state of New York. I can't really see her doing a whole lot of damage with www.danielcraigisnotjamesbondbringbackpierceheshouldbebondohtheworldissounfair.com.

That's terrific. We want a youth services commissioner who thinks calling someone gay is a good insult, and calls for handing out barf bags when two men kiss onscreen.

You know, a good influence on the kids.

No, it isn't really worth bothering with. The only people who even know the site still exists are people who read Bond forums, 99% of whom will be seeing CR on opening weekend anyway, so she is only preaching to the converted handful of 50 Brosnan acolytes.
CR is here, the reviews are in, and its a great film, with Craig a success as Bond. The only question remains...will she have the dignity to accept defeat...in time? Or will she embarrass herself further by having to come up with obscure CR-bashing headlines like "ROYALE BOMBS IN ZAIRE!" :)

Can we all agree to stop the verbal jousting over stuff that's either already happened, is of no real consequence to any of us, or both? No more 'nyaah-nah-naah-nah-naah-naaaah', K? What interests are being served?

Also, I think we've had more than enough proclamations of infinite wrong. Daniel Craig is a public figure, so I find any claims that Craig has been done some irredeemable injustice by the any of the members of this site, possibly excluding anyone who could be classified as STAFF of CraigNotBond, to be completely and utterly without merit. People have a right to publicly comment on things in the world. They are allowed by law to say not-so-nice things. If one can't handle reading them, one shouldn't be cruising the internet.

The film's just about out, and early reviews are blazing hot. Seems like better conversation fodder than these old, old dogs that just won't hunt no mo'.

Well, since Bon-San says he doesn't mind going after the CNB staff, the new Village Voice goes after Mario for his "political work:"

I didn't say that. I implied that critiques of Daniel Craig made on this site fall under the category of 'speaking one's mind", and decrying such as some kind of horrible, inconceivable slight against a public figure is rather ridiculous. In contrast, some of the vile, misleading, untrue and probably libelous stuff spewed out by at least some of the staff at CraigNotBond is indefensible on any grounds. I am not aware that any CBn'ers (other than AKB) were ever, or are currently CraigNotBond staff members.

I'm not 'going after' anybody. Just to be clear.

DCINB.com is giving Happy Feet their "endorsement". LOL! I think Deanna has taken herself and this site far too seriously.

If I understand their delusion correctly, its their last chance of "victory" really, because HF does stand a chance of beating CR on opening weekend (notice how they aren't 'endorsing' obvious duds like Let's go to prison or Tenacious D and the pick of destiny!). If HF is No.1, they can convince themselves that their "boycott" worked and they steered millions of moviegoers away from Bond and towards Happy Feet! :P :)
At any rate, I'm sure the creators of Happy Feet are overjoyed that a bunch of bitter, vitriolic homophobes have decided to "endorse" their movie.

GS,
How do you think Deanna is handling all these rave reviews about DC and CR that are comming out? The one review she could find to post on her site, still had great things to say about Craig.

Well their latest move, of endorsing HF pretty much shows how she's handling it. She knows she can no longer claim that the film, or Craig, are bad, so she's switching tactics and going for the "well...uh...it won't beat Happy Feet, dammit!" bit. News of these reviews must have been like a dagger through her cold, dead heart. :)

I wonder how they must be all feeling now over on CnB too, now that the first signs of Craig faring well with the critics is starting to show (as I always predicted). If it generally gets the thumbs up from every quarter, where can they go from there?

And if CR starts to smash box office records, again, where do they go from there? It will prove that their pathetic whining was all for nothing, that nobody really paid attention to their silly, hate-filled campaign after all. It will also expose the undoubted lie that currently resides over on their website like a bad smell - the thousands of `genuine' signatures (which are more than likely the twisted imagination of that vile, twisted, lonely woman who sits in a room by herself with nothing to do all day, a keyboard and mouse for comfort, clicking endlessly to create 20,000 signatures).

The game was over for them a long time ago, once Mario did a runner, but Brayton has dragged the whole thing out shamelessly, not quite knowing when to quit. Something tells me she is about to choke on massive mouthfulls of humble pie.

But that's not going to happen, is it? Because the site has no sense of self-awareness. They are right and everyone who disagrees with them is wrong. Period. Whoever is still associated with that site will disregard every good review Casino Royale gets and will seize on the slightest bit of negativity and blow it out of all proportion, a bit like Hitler in the bunker in those last few weeks in 1945.

Had the site not become a vile, homophobic rant, one could almost feel sorry for them. But it did,and I don't have a shred of sympathy. Theirs has been one of the nastiest campaigns I have seen; something which sullies the internet. Everyone concerned should hang their heads in shame.

They could even now claw back something by holding their hands up, admitting they were wrong and apologising for their vileness towards Daniel Craig. But they won't, because these are not people of honour.
