If the guy was a plant, don't you think they would have made him subscribe earlier to IMDB boards, and post a few reviews of other movies, just to make the "cover" stand well ?

After all, EON know a bit about "secret agents", I would say...

Dude, weren't movie reviews faked earlier? :)

This is apparently somewhat like DIE ANOTHER DAY - two levels to the titles. We're looking at Bond's dossier with photos of his past career and the crime scenes of his assassinations, but there are dancing girls and casino imagery on top of that.

Sweet deal, I felt that the dual-leveled titles was the best innovation in Die Another Day - Here's hoping it's the start of a new trend in the series. And Kleinman is really quite good at making these title sequences... The four he's done so far have been uniformly outstanding.

I have been hugely impressed with Kleinman's title sequences. He hasn't made a single misstep as far as I can tell.

And I live in hope that DC's face is... well not very prominent during the titles. Generally speaking, we shouldn't see Bond's face at all during the titles. A silhouette perhaps, but no more.

Again, it's *there*. We're looking at photographs from Bond's dossier. There aren't silhouettes - these are black-and-white photos from his past career, etc.

This was in the December draft, but apparently they took the liberty of adding casino imagery into the mix.

Then how do you explain the Roger Moore title sequences from The Spy Who Loved Me on?

It's not seeing his face that I object to, it's if it matches the 'you know my name' lyric in the song.

I have to say, it's not something I can get terribly worked up about. It's not going to spoil my enjoyment one way or t'other. :)

Well, I trust Klienman to make it work. To be honest I have similar reservations that you do.

Why? Especially since the lyric only really appears twice.

Honestly, while I listen to the song, I feel like seeing a photo of Craig on the first statement of "You know my name" would be damn cool.

I trust Daniel Kleinman entirely (he's consistently impressed me with every one of his contributions to the franchise). And the other reviewer also found the titles brilliant, so as far as I'm concerned, I'm waiting to see the final thing before passing any judgement at all.

I agree with this completely especially after Die Another Day (my dislike of that song, but still a great title sequence).

I think DIE ANOTHER DAY is my favorite of his sequences. The others are great, too, but they're a little more standard fare - DIE ANOTHER DAY is very unique. And the fact that it makes the pain of Madonna's song tolerable also gives it points.

Were you against Bond's face being featured in the titles of GOLDFINGER and DIE ANOTHER DAY? (A genuine question, not an attack.)

Personally, I have no problem whatsoever with Bond's face being featured in the titles. In fact, I outright adore the use of it in GOLDFINGER and love seeing Bond in DIE ANOTHER DAY. I wasn't crazy about how Moore was featured, but that's generally because I somewhat dislike the Moore titles in general.

I say let's boycott the opening titles ! I'm all for the movie, but against the titles, as they show Craig face !

Also, the end title, I don't want a list of people who worked in the movie at the end, it's old hat.

Maybe they could show the outtakes of the movie at the end like in a Jackie Chan Movie. Then we could see Daniel's teeth broken by the stuntman, Daniel saying no to driving a stick shift Aston and other Daniel mishaps which the CnB people publicize. :)

I'd like to see hilarious outtakes with Perce Brosnan trying the same line readings.

I don't like it. Whether it's in Goldfinger or Bond 39.

I did like it in DAD, however, since it fitted with the story (and the music) Bond being tortured and all that.

By that reasoning, it does fit with the story. We're seeing Bond's CV as it's being processed. Works out wonderfully I should think.

From the top of my head these are the films with Bond in the titles:

- GoldFinger
- The Spy Who Loved Me
- Moonraker
- Octopussy
- A View to a Kill
- Die Another Day

I love when the actor for Bond shows up in the titles and I think in CR the way they are going to implement this sounds good.

I think both Dalton movies also featured him in the credits.

I'm pretty sure they did. Binder ran out of ideas during the Moore years and just kept repeating himself. We're just lucky he didn't use Moore in the titles for Dalton's films, too...
