No, that information is enough.

The whole "I've seen angels..." section is absolutely terrific - Catchy, catchy stuff there.

My favorite section is actually the second verse - when the strings and trumpets start up in the background. It's when the song's at its most Bondian (I kind of wish the rest of the song had kept that mood).

Hmmm…maybe it will grow on me. There is a melody in there somewhere that I quite like. Can't help but think it's a better song than it sounds coming from Connell. Sounds a bit cheap and garage band loud. But this really isn't my area. I'm an old codger, and I haven't really connected with a song since TLD. It'll do. Now roll the film. :)

Yeah, I can't help but think the song would be much more impressive if it were more orchestrated and less guitar (ala the second verse).

Ok so let's see...
which line could be the most sexual...
Probably this stanza...

If you come inside
Things will not be the same
When you return to my eyes

Frankly I think this is sexual enough on its own:

If you come inside
Things will not be the same

That brings up the point - from what perspective is this song written? Is it Bond to Vesper, Bond to Le Chiffre, or what?

It's Bond to Vesper, isn't it?\

[edit] I just read the lyrics... I'm sort of thinking it's Le Chiffre to Bond now...

Not the best by any stretch, but it is the best I could have realitically hoped for. It does take a few listens to really catch on, but when it does, it does big time.

I like it, my 50+ year old mother likes it.

The song may be decent but it cannot deflect attention from the fact that Bond is suddenly blond. :)

I don't think you can really place who is talking to who in the song. It certainaly not intended to be sexual or romantic, or that's how I feel about it. It's more about Bond becoming an assassin and his kinda reckless and risky personallity.

I agree, it doesn't make sense as a one-to-one, as it were...

I don't know that I would have picked that singer, but the more I listen to it, the more I like the song. Zencat's quote of it sounding rather garage band-like does catch the spirit of the sound nicely.

I *finally* managed to find a version I was able to listen to on my work computer (stupid restricted internet access!). And I have to say that I am not totally convinced by it - it is not what I had expected at all.

But I am keeping an open mind. At least it is very different from what has gone before, and I'll have to wait and see how it sounds with the opening titles to accompany it.

[puts on shades]

The 80s are back! :)

This is James Bond the stadium rock anthem. I love it.

Great chorus:
"Arm yourself because no one else here will save you
The odds will betray you
And I will replace you
You can't deny the prize it may never fulfill you
It longs to kill you
Are you willing to die?
The coldness burns through my veins
You know my name."

I agree Gobi-1. Once this is Kleinman-ized, it becomes Bondian.
Also, I'd love to hear it as an Arnold instrumental. Fast and slow.
