I celebrated TB's 50th to coincide with a family outing from long ago. 50 years ago today on Christmas, my dad was dating my mom and he took her and my 3 uncles to see the newly released Thunderball. So I sat down with the Blu-ray to celebrate both.

Sadly, both my parents are deceased although my uncles are all still with us. So it was a way to bring their spirit home for my holiday along with my personal favorite Bond film.

I recently watched TLD and Skyfall. Now it's time to go back to the beginning and watch Dr No.

Either OP or TSWLM in honor of Caroline Munro's 67th Birthday. I must be in a Cold War-era Roger Moore style mood.

I caught the second half of YOLT on television. I like the newer films with Craig, but for me, these old gems will never be beaten. They really were firing on all cyclinders. I prefer other 60s era Bond films, but YOLT remains a spectacle. Good entertainment.

I'm letting my Bond batteries recharge for a while but I think that by the time SPECTRE is out on DVD (Feb 9th for me), I'll be ready to watch it as my first Bond film of 2016..

Watching Quantum of Solace now (so I can rank SPECTRE), and then I feel like watching Diamonds Are Forever.  Strange double, I know, but in light of the retcon, there is a link between them now.

I might actually watch AVTAK and try and imagine David Bowie as Zorin. Even though I am glad they got Christopher Walken in his place. Walken had to play a Bond villain at some point.

Funny how well those two go together (for me too, at any rate).

Time to watch Skyfall..

I'm doing that soon with my wife, to remind her of the plot before she sees SPECTRE for the first time.

I watched TLD last night so I feel like LTK now.

SPECTRE, actually, because despite my disappointment with various aspects of it there is still a voice within me that says: give it another try, you will like it more, you will like it more, you will...

Watched SPECTRE.  It had sort of a reflective meditation about it, what with various scenes toward the end providing bookends to CR (chair, 'careless' scene, crumbling building), Skyfall (shot of flag on building), and itself (helicopter.)

I watched TND the other night - it really moves along at a brisk pace doesn't it? It never really takes time to breathe.

So I feel like TWINE next.
