Wow, first DAD, then TWINE. That's like the Phantom Menace and Final Frontier of Bond. What's gonna be the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull Bond movie?

I recently saw Moonraker in theatre, with a big screen, a clean copy, and a Vodka-Martini made by the theatre's barman! What a blasting experience!
Now on my to-see-list is Goldeneye (but this time on Blu Ray at home).

It's got to be Goldfinger tonight

I was having a chinwag about gialli with a co-worker and a few of Barbara Bach's old movies were brought up ("Black Belly of the Tarantula", "Short Night of Glass Dolls"). That makes me want to watch TSWLM.

Watched the end of Octopussy yesterday with the kids, and so now in the mood for Moonraker.

I feel like Skyfall and SPECTRE, back to back.
Has anyone done this yet?

If you're really going to view those two back to back, please be sure to note all the similarities, both in the dialogue department and when it comes to directorial choices.
My personal favorite: Tanner's almost identical opening of the door for Bond towards the beginning of the films, at "new digs" (SF) and Q's lab (SP) respectively. It's basically the same shot. The lead-up through the hallway is likewise essentially the same.

Started Skyfall on Syfy, but switched to Thunderball on the MGM HD channel. Whaaat? Two Bonds simultaneously? Sadly, the commercial breaks coincide. With Craig probably leaving, new appreciation for Connery.

Had a Skyfall and SPECTRE double bill last night. I think I'm feeling more in the mood for an early Connery today though - seems to be the group of movies I find myself revisiting the most.

AVTAK for me.
My least favorite, but now that I'm the same age Sir Roger was when he made it, I want to see if I'll feel any different about what a man that age can realistically be expected to do.
I know I won't feel any different about Tanya Roberts, Grace Jones or the pedestrian, derivative plot, though.

I find Grace Jones one of the highlights of the film. It's sadly Moore who brings the film down. I would've loved to have seen a Dalton/Bowie/Jones led A View To A Kill. I'm not saying the film is perfect, but a more believable lead could've at least brought it up to a more sensible level.

Indeed. At my age - even if I were in tip-top shape - I doubt I could defeat a steroid-enhanced psycho fifteen years my junior.

Since I´ve watched my favourites so often I guess I will return to those I have not watched a lot in the last decade:
- DAF
- OHMSS
- FYEO
- AVTAK
But I´m also in the mood for sheer fun. So the whole Moore era will probably be on the menu.
