Double feature night.. Moonraker and On Her Majesty's Secret Service..
That sounds like an interesting combo. How did it go?
As for me, I'm in the mood for Moonraker in honor of Sir Rog's 0088th birthday.

Haven't really been in the mood for a Bond film in a good while. But tonight I've thrown on On Her Majesty's Secret Service and my build up to Spectre begins now. John Barry's incredible soundtrack blasting in my surround sound system all but confirms it. This title sequence is giving me goosebumps.

As part of my A-Z Blu-ray season that has lasted for over a year now, I'm on O and tonight is 'Octopussy'.
I watch my Blu-rays on a Monday and Thursday, and fate has dealt cards brilliantly with the following films...
15th - 'Octopussy'
19th - 'Olympus Has Fallen'
22nd - 'On Her Majesty's Secret Service'
26th - Night off to see 'SPECTRE'
Even thought I hate 'OHMSS' I feel it fitting it's the film, and Bond film, I'll be watching before seeing 'SPECTRE'.

You're right Prince Kamal Kahn.. It was a unique paring.. Enjoyed it very much though..
I think MR and OHMSS have a lot more in common than many people might initially think. Both are scored by John Barry with theme song lyrics by Hal David. Both feature a villain who uses a group of beautiful women in his plan to enact chemical/biological warfare on the earth. Both feature Bond in a helicopter ride with a female employee of the villain to the villain's establishment. Both feature Bond using a gadget to break into a villain's safe to accomplish his mission. Both of its heroines are very strong and my 2 favorite tough girl Bond heroines in the series. Both were the final Bond films made in their respective decades. Both MR and OHMSS along with TLD are my 3 favorite Bond films made post-TB in 1965.
To honor the memory of Bond screenwriter and film novelist Christopher Wood, I'm up for a double feature of MR and TSWLM which my dad took me to see as a child:

I've had a hankering to watch The Spy Who Loved Me for a while now but don't usually have enough TV time to watch movies these days. Still, I have it on DVD around here somewhere so may dig it and MR up for a re-watch.

I watched QUANTUM OF SOLACE earlier. A lot more uneven than I remember. Even Craig seems a bit out of step. The delivery of some of his humour is particularly off, and there's far flashier unnecessary direction than I'd noticed previously.

That is really interesting, and actually what I think this thread is about - to see what people feel like watching but also what their reactions are this time around.
I am in the mood for some early 1970's Bond.

It's getting too late to want to see anything but SPECTRE.
After the novelty wears off - meaning early December - I'll be ready for my Christmas mini-marathon (which I spread out over several evenings):
CR 54
OHMSS
DAF
TMWTGG
NSNA
DAD
...then I'll probably go see SPECTRE again.

I feel like watching SPECTRE again.

I can't wait until I can say the same thing.

At present I really feel like watching FRWL and TWINE. I could always go and see SPECTRE for the 3rd time too...!!

Kind of want to watch Quantum of Solace to compare its merits with SPECTRE.
Posted 09 November 2015 - 09:19 PM
Recently watched TND and TWINE, trying to stave off my desire to start my December mini-marathon early.
I expect I'll be seeing Spectre again soon - it's the real centerpiece of this year's holiday must-watch list.

I ended up watching Skyfall yesterday. Still have some issues with the second half of it, but other plot holes not bothering me as much. (For example, now I think Silva had the empty Underground train ready to go at his command and it wasn't just happenstance)

SPECTRE. I plan on finally seeing it tonight.
Posted 12 November 2015 - 11:47 PM
I want to watch NSNA, but I'll wait until I visit me old Dad and his 40" screen.
(It's the only one I still have that isn't BluRay.)

SPECTRE, which I will see tomorrow. The wait is just about over.
