Beat up folding tables in an elegant baroque-style hotel ballroom. Men and women dressed to kill, playing cards or lying on benches, napping. And an American with a slight case of arrested development, sitting in the midst of it all, eight thousand miles from home.
Surrreal.
The crew was outside putting the final touches on the lighting for the casino, getting ready for the night

I'm crossing fingers for you to appear in the final cut of the film. You're not only a great writer, but also a great man, judging from the humbleness you show, in the face of such a fortunate accomplishment. An accomplishment that many (all) of us would pay fortunes to make.
Bring on the next installments.
Edit:
Here's an idea (that many of you probably had) to the mods: edit all Ernie's posts/chapters together, for future readings, in some part of the site.
This is too good to be lost down in threads arquives.

Maybe someone could put you in contact with those in the know at Eon and they could include this very wonderful piece of prose in the "Making of..." book before it goes to press. I'd pay to read it!
Without any doubt, yes! I also would pay to read this.
Grant, this is awesome. The best part of every new day. I enjoy it more than any of these professional "blogs" at the official site.

And for the record, this settles it: when Bond 22 begins filming, I'm positioning myself in very close proximity to it as Ernie's story has me seething with jealousy.

Scamp is right! Ernie deserves it!Just an note to the EON employee/s whose job it is to read CBN everyday/hour (allegedly) , as this masterpiece is proving to be such a big hit PLEASE make sure ernie makes it to the final cut. It will make his, and our, day! And he will always be able to say "I WAS THERE!".

Okay, just a brief note to let you knoww part 9 will be up this evening, or tomorrow morning latest. Busy weekend, with many beers and subsequent hangovers. Throw in a friend's bachelor party, and a late night poker game (yes, it was Hold 'em, and no, I didn't win), and you have a situation not conducive to literary ramblings.
Thanks again for your kind words, and hang in there a little longer!
Best,
Grant
You bet I'll hang around! Can't wait for part 9.

As mentioned in my last dispatch, I had settled into a routine during the shooting: Show up, check in, eat dinner, change into my tuxedo, and wait to be called. Play cards, flirt with the ubiquitous beautiful Czech girls, stand outside and smoke while watching the crew set up. Go back in, play another game of hearts, maybe read some of my book. Get called for a scene, brush the lint off my lapel, check my tie in the mirror, and feel my pulse race as the director yells,

He should write Bond 22Superb stuff. You should start working on a thriller - you've certainly got the Dan Brown cliffhanger thing down.

You could certainly teach Yarborough a few things about interesting storytelling!
