of the proposed title's I've seen so far property of a lady is my favorite, although I still am not a great fan of that title, only begining to SLOWLY warm to it!

I do agree with those who suggested it doesn't have the boldness you would expect of an action film, but artistically speaking it would suit a follow on story from Casino Royale, pursuing the Vesper's background.

was wondering when we'd get an official announcement, like many I had a vein hope it would be tagged on the end of Casino Royale's credits in the "James Bond will return in..." fashion but sadly that was not to be. but Casino Royale was announced in early Feb '05, so perhaps we can expect an offical title within the next 8 weeks! long before Casino Royale is even out on DVD :)

Perhaps!

The title for Die Another Day took a long time to come around, however...

the more i think about it the more i like the idea of property of a lady as the title as this seems like the best opportunity for them to use it.

Honestly is doesn't matter what they title a Bond film people will still come see it. Bond 22 could be call "Bond Uses Vesper's Cell Phone To Order A Pizza" and it would still be a hit.

hah true. the title's are usually fairly pretty generic and so long as you through a colour into the title, or the word "die" it will pretty much be suitable

Casino Royale is one of a few expeptions in that, though it is one of the more unusual titles it is most certainly synonymous with the franchise, afterall Casino Royale is doubtlessly the most well known book (however well known that is)

for it's direct sequel, no title can really "top" it, but as gobi-1 says, people really don't care :)

TV shows and the press will just call it the "new Bond film" anyways. :P

Here's my list for possible Bond22 titles
1. RISICO (Could be a codename or mission name)
2. Property of a Lady (I'm not crazy about it due to it's use in
Octopussy, though if Vesper's necklace is an element
in the next film then o.k )
3. Death Leaves an Echo
4. The Rough with the Smooth
5. You Asked For It
6. The Belles Of Hell
7. SPECTRE (Assuming EON has the rights)

^ I actually kind of like the idea of calling the film Spectre. Although I hope they make a new organization than that, so whatever the organization is called would be a good idea for the title.

I think that Bond 22 will probably present EON with their best opportunity to use the title The Property of a Lady, so I would hope that they would go ahead and use that one. But, I'm also a fan of Risico as a title as well.

I've never much liked the title "The Property of a Lady", but I'm starting to warm up to it as a follow-up to CR. I still like the sound of "Risico" or "A Whisper of Hate" (or Love) better, but TPoaL could work in this case.

If, by some chance, SPECTRE does return, how about a title that uses the name in a phrase:

THE SPECTRE OF DEATH
SPECTRE OF VENGEANCE
SPECTRE OF THE GUN
(or, in keeping with PROPERTY OF A LADY and emphasizing Vesper's lingering effects on Bond...)
SPECTRE OF A LADY

Etcetera. This would tip the fans off that SPECTRE was coming back, but would still have a nice ring to it on the marquee, etc.

(I don't know about you folks, but I LOVE asking for my ticket at the box-office by the title of the movie, rather than just saying "1 for James Bond" like many people do. Just one of those little things that reminds me that the series is alive an well, and I'm about to enjoy the next installment!)

Let's call it: SHATTERHAND.

I've been waiting 15 years for EON to use that title.

Pardon me if this have been posted before, but with the disappearance of Vesper's medaillon, the algerian knot, it would make perfect sense, if as said in the press, Bond 22 investigate her boy-friend, that the movie would be called "PROPERTY OF A LADY", and that this medal may lead Bond hot on the trail of the organisation.
I'll vote for that, Risico doesn't mean anything, it sounds like the name of a spanish flamenco singer.

My prefered titles:

Property of a Lady
As pointed out before, a perfect title to follow up 'Casino Royale'. Vespers necklace could be Bonds first clue in a web of intrigue.
A Whisper of Hate
Also a great follow up title after 'Casino'.
Shatterhand
Blofeld's alias in 'You Only Live Twice'. A great short title. Nice ring to it. Very old school.
The Death Collector
Chapter title in 'You Only Live Twice'. A little generic, but still effective.
A Means to an End
Or An End to the Means if you like. Very Fleming-esque in my humble opinion.
Shamelady
Fleming's original suggestion for 'GoldenEye' (his Jamaican retreat). Again an old school short title. Very much like say 'Octopussy'. With the right story, this would be one cracker of a title.
Enjoy While It Lasts
The very words Bond lives by (according to 'GoldenEye'). A perfect Bond title I think.
Only Time Will Kill
Fleming-esque and has never been used before. Perhaps not original, but it does work.

I also like 'Crashdive' (from 'From a View to a Kill' - described as the worst kind of emergency), but it has been used as the title for several other films.

I was thinking of a Tiltle about Bond what he felt after losing Vesper something like THE COLDEST EYES or SHATTERED HEART, but then i read what Stamper said about Vespers Medallion, she would have to know its A Algerian Knot so it make sence its her property. So the next Title has to be PROPERTY OF A LADY.

What ever it is I hope Martin Campbell Directs.

Here we go again 2 years.......

I definitely hope it is The Property of a Lady. It makes perfect sense with the tie-in to Vesper's Algerian love knot, and it uses another Fleming title. I would like to see all of the Fleming titles, even some of the cooler chapter names perhaps, used as titles before they use original ones that just use a different variation of a sentence with the word "Die" in it.

As they've done before, "The Property of a Lady" is a great title to use for a Bond film, even if they don't use the actual plot. The Love Knot would definitely allow for calling Bond 22 "Property of a Lady".

I don't really like Risico. Just doesn't sound good to me. And yes, I'm aware of where it comes from.

I just don't want something cliche. Something original would be nice. Not like "Another Golden Day To Kill" or something.

Doesn't anyone else want to use "Quantum of Solace"? I think it would be great, especially considering that Bond got his heart broken in CR and NEEDS some solace.

Agreed. I love "Risico" as a title, and I definitely think that they should use it as the title of a Bond film in the near future, but Bons 22 provides them with the best opportunity to use "The Property of a Lady" as a title. I'd hope that they would take that chance and go with it while the opportunity is there, and then use "Risico" as the title for Bond 23.

You know what they should use as a title?

LIVE AND LET DIE

Why not? The original is 30+ years old, and I can't think of a reason why it shouldn't be remade, with James Earl Jones as Mr. Big.

Or Samuel L. Jackson. Now that would be a cool villain for Bond.
"Get this m*th*rf---king 007 off this..." would be new old school.

I am hoping for Risico. Property of a Lady doesn't sound right to me. Worked for a Fleming short story, maybe not for a movie.

I would cast Tommy "Tiny" Lister - his 6'7" and sinister look would fit Mr. Big very well.
IMO the story could be easily adapted to present time. Rest of the cast would be as follows:
James Bond - Daniel Craig
Solitaire (Simone Latrelle) - Monica Belucci
Mr. Big - Tommy "Tiny" Lister
Felix Leiter - Jeffrey Wright
The Robber - Ted Levine
Quarrel - Delroy Lindo
Tee Hee Johnson - Isaiah Washington
