The Quantum Of Risk

A Quantum Of Risk

Quantum Of Risk

?

JAMES BOND WILL RETURN IN

THE SPECTRE OF REVENGE

Hmm...Not bad...Not bad at all.

What does 'RISICO' mean and how is it pronounced?

pronounced:

Ris eee ko

What does it mean?

It's an Italian speaking in English and saying something to the effect of:

"In this buisiness, there is a lot of risk"

The way Fleming wrote it, the Italian says:

(paraphrasing) "Een 'dis pissiness, dere ees a lota risico"

Does that help?

Sorry if this isn't on topic, but since others have posted about scenes that would be appropriate for Bond 22, I recall the commentary on the FRWL DVD saying that in the novel Bond is left poisoned on the floor and the reader isn't sure whether he's going to survive or was being killed off by Ian Fleming. Wouldn't it be great if Bond 22 ended on a similar note where 007 is left for dead and they'd carried it on into Bond 23?! A bit like how Pirates of the Caribbean 2 ends with Johnny Depp walking into the Kraken's mouth...if you know what I mean...

I've always pronounced Risico as "riss-a-co". I end up saying "co" before I've finished saying "i" so it comes out closer to an "a" sound.

Unfortunately Purvis and Wade have put an end to Risico being the title.

I think "Risico" is a very good Bond-title, but I dont think they should use it for the next one(Maybe for Bond 23 or beyond). What about "The Property of a Lady"? Because of Vesper's necklace, and all her secrets in Casino Royale.

I would prefer "The Undertaker's Wind" for selfish reasons...

Another title for the same story, an original title of mine, is "The Last Heartbeat."

Personally I like "Quantum of Solace" the best. However, Risico wouldn't be bad either.

"The Property of a Lady" would still have been my choice. Or "Live and Let Die" redo in some crazy twist, but that is due to selfish reasons and hoping "Moonraker" would be done PROPERLY come Bond 23. "Risico" I can deal with, seems okay, but I keep thinking of that "Risk" boardgame whenever I hear it so I'm just slightly disturbed over it!

Lol, that can be the climax to "Risico!" Bond and the villain decide the fate of the world over a game of Risk! Brilliant. Complete with a montage depicting the three weeks that it actually takes to do it.

How about the producers take the Sylvester Stallone route and just call the movie James Bond?

After all, Sly has Rocky Balboa, and John Rambo is in the works.

Not to mention John Rambo is coming out the same year as Bond 22. :cooltongue:

Let's call it: SHATTERHAND.

I've been waiting 15 years for EON to use that title.

I have been waiting 26 years. Ever since For Your Eyes Only began filming and Broccoli was asked where would he go after running out of Fleming titles. I began to ponder the chapter titles of Fleming's novels or the villainous name of Shatterhand.

"A KISS TO KILL FOR"

Sort of a twist on Bond's naming his Vesper drink--"Once you've had a taste, you never want to taste anything else." It would be about Bond tracking down Vesper's boyfriend and investigating Mr. White's organization, sort of like the 'Property of a Lady' ideas mentioned in these threads. Further follows Bond's character development into a charming yet ruthless secret agent. How Vesper haunts him like Tracy did the black-haired Bonds. Has sort of a dichotomy to it.

I'd prefer a Fleming title or phrase, but I think this is a bit Flemingesque. This is what I came up with thinking, "If I were Ian Fleming, what might be a good Bondian title?"

Oh, and then SHATTERHAND for the third entry of DC's trilogy. Definitely.

Anyone like the sound of 'HEAT DIES DOWN'? Got the idea from the song on the new Kaiser Chiefs album... also wouldn't make a bad theme tune.

at the end of the spy who loved me, it said james bond will return in for your eyes only, but do to the success of star wars, they decided to do moonraker instead, and take him to space. and at the end of moonraker it did say james bond will return in for your eyes only, but it shouldve said that this time, james bond will actually return in for your eyes only

Whatever the title, it should not include the word "kill", "die", "gold" or "love".
And it should not be insprired by an existing song title.

I like The Undertakers Wind. Very Fleming'esque in sound.

Over the Brink perhaps?

Or maybe: For Queen and Country ?

Out of the ones I've seen in this thread, I'd like to see "Property of a Lady" used for Bond 22.

But this thread inspired me to get "The creative juices flowing", so I looked up lists of English proverbs to see if I could make some cool sounding Bond titles out of any. Here are a few I came up with:

Double or Nothing
Fool Me Twice
Method of Madness
Shot in the Dark (I got this from the Ozzy Osbourne song by the same name (Although I wouldn't want to see that song used for the opening credits) :cooltongue:
Death in Disguise
A Bullet for Bond (Probably not for Bond 22 because I have a plot idea behind this where an unknown criminal mastermind-type character puts an open bounty on Bond's head)

Let me know what you guys think of these.

Quantum of Solace, please!
Risico
The Hildebrand Rarity
Shatterhand
Smokeheart
Knight Of Shadows
A Conservative Estimate of Death

NOT "The Property of a Lady" - it's already been used in a very film specific way (unlike TWINE).
