Geez, to think I remember when it was common place for the next title to appear. Back then, I wasn't really aware of the Fleming books and stories. I was really surprised to learn a few years later that they were conceived as far back as the 1950s.
It's really a shame that at least "TWINE" couldn't have been mentioned at the end of "TND". That seems the most likely of the "original" titles that could have been projected in advance.
But if they come up with some play on cliches like "A Friend in Need is an Enemy Indeed" or "No Use Crying Over Spilt Blood" or anything with death, dying, kill, etc. and my eyes will glaze over.
Past titles, aside from the cliche-inspired ones, have been based on characters, mission code-names, descriptive terms, and original observations. Something that directly relates to espionage, like "For Your Eyes Only", is good. It's the sort of title that is instantly recognized as Bond-related.
