could it be a mistake tho? that it redirects there?how so? i mean how do u have evedince on this?Absolutely no chance or reason for the title being "The Emerald Sphere"! From the great detective work of others, I'd certainly put "Quantum of Solace" as the most likely title at the moment...So! On which title would you all bet????
A: 'The Property Of A Lady'
B: 'Risico'
C: 'The Emerald Sphere'
D: '007!'
E: 'Quantum Of Solace'
Another poster in the Press Conference thread found out that the URL "quantumofsolace.com" redirects to the Sony Pictures website.
It very well could be, but I think that if Bond 22 isn't "Quantum of Solace", then it would have to be a very big coincidence that the website leads to Sony's website.

Sony Pictures registered the domain name on 22 January 2008. Therefore they must have done so for a reason - it makes sense that it is the title for BOND 22.could it be a mistake tho? that it redirects there?

You're right, I am sure that we're going to find out for sure tomorrow. As for not finding QoS when searching on the Sony page, my guess would be that, since the domain was just registered yesterday, that they haven't gotten all that far in attaching it to the Sony Pictures site (other than having some code written into the QoS site to redirect to Sony's site) nor have they really started building the site yet either.

Perhaps... although I doubt a major film studio would go to the effort and expense of registering a domain name for a Bond movie just to throw us off the scent at the last minute!I take it as they are trying to mess with are head as much as the can. lmao

Agreed. Although I can't say it with 100% confidence, I'm fairly certain that tomorrow we'll be referring to Bond 22 as Quantum of Solace.

take Cloverfield for example. look what they did with it. for the longest time everyone was told that the movie was going to be called Greyspot/1-18-08, but then it was a deal just to thro it off course of the real name being Cloverfield. i mean im just saying it could be.Perhaps... although I doubt a major film studio would go to the effort and expense of registering a domain name for a Bond movie just to throw us off the scent at the last minute!I take it as they are trying to mess with are head as much as the can. lmao

So, does this mean James Bond's personal "quantum of solace" will come from finding the men responsible for blackmailing Vesper?

How many Americans (or other English speakers, for that matter) will know what "Quantum of Solace" means?!!
Having said that, I'm not opposed to this title. It's a million times better than 'Risico'!

I mean, come on guys. Last month http://www.quantumofsolace.com wasn't linked to any site at all and as of today, one day before the official press conference, the site is linking to Sony Pictures official homepage
And I must say, I am delighted with this true Ian Fleming title
Probably shouldn't make a thread saying "Title is..." when it is still no more than speculation at this point.

well im american and i know what Quantum of Solace means and i oppose to this title to.I'm amazed if so, given the whole history of the infamous "Americans don't know what 'Revoked' means" debacle that lead to a movie with the bland title "Licence to Kill"!

No it won't be. They can't pick that. CAN THEY? Am I the only one that thinks thats a bloody awful title? No. I refuse to believe it will be that. It will be something completely out of the blue. Do you realise how much energy Star Wars fans expended trying to guess the title before The Phantom Menace was announced?Created on 22 January 2008. I think I'm just about sold. It cannot be a coincidence.Check this out.

BOND 22 will be QUANTUM OF SOLACE.
Someone inside Eon, or Haggis, has made up a title. Impossible to predict. I hope.

Well none of the target audience for "Ratatouille" knew what that meant. Perhaps EON/Sony are assuming that their audience is...intelligent?

I'm hoping for some other information: plot details and character descriptions
I'm hoping the opposite. I hope EON keeps the plot underwraps for as long as they can.
Same here. I just want to know what the title is. I'm saving everything else for the day it opens.
Agreed.
I hope they do give us the title tommorow, I'm getting sick of calling it Bond 22.
Interestingly enough, http://www.quantumofsolace.com redirects to the Sony Pictures website. None of the other Fleming titles do this, http://www.thepropertyofalady.com takes you to a jewellry website, http://www.risico.comjust brings up search results for insurance websites and http://www.thehildebrandrarity.com just brings up a "404 - Page Not Found".
Interesting about the QoS link leading to Sony. Have you stumbled upon a major clue? The game is afoot!
But thepropertyofalady.com doesn't take you to a jewellry site, it takes you to a site which says "THIS DOMAIN NAME HAS JUST BEEN REGISTERED FOR ONE OF OUR CUSTOMERS!" and it talks all about domain name registration. So just because it doesn't take you to the Sony site at the moment doesn't mean that it won't direct to that later on or that someone else has ownership of it. Similarly (and even more so) with http://www.thehildebrandrarity.com just because that says "page not found" doesn't mean anything in itself. I own several domain names and yet some of them also say "page not found" because I haven't either activated the sites or don't have anything on the index page. It's not difficult to redirect a page so that it goes to another site - all it takes is a little piece of code, so they can easily put that in when it's time to go live. Furthermore, I would imagine that Sony or whoever would've registered all the Fleming Bond names as sites rather than letting someone else claim ownership of them for some other purpose.

I'm not really leaning in either direction. I'll wait for the official announcement. Personally, I don't think alot of people would know what it means.

My mistake, www.propertyofalady.com directs to the jewellry site, not www.THEpropertyofalady.com

Tomorrow's not going to be a fun day for me on personal level, at least there's this press conference to brighten it a bit.
