Could be any time really. With Die Another Day, I seem to remember the title coming pretty late, but we knew the Casino Royale title for a quite a while
Yes, good point. With Casino Royale we knew the title with 12 months to go. But with Die Another Day, I seem to remember hearing the title around July 2002, which was only 4 months before the release of the film.

if you're looking for a title with a fleming history, i think "whisper of hate" would be perfect, even better than "property of a lady" [which was sort of already used within "octopussy"], but i'm not counting on either.
i suspect we'll see a completely original title which will be derived from the script itself.

Die Another Day was announced as the title for Bond 20 in, if I recall, in April 2002, a full 2 to 3 months AFTER filming started (January 2002).
I remember checking in on CBn daily to see if they'd gotten a title as they got nearly half way into filming. Black Sun to Beyond(/Beneath) The Ice were some of the rumoured focus group and fan boy titles.
So the real answer is that Bond 22's title could be released as early as today and as late as the spring of next year.

Actually Casino Royale was released as the title for Bond 21 a couple or three months BEFORE DC was announced as 007 in October 2005, i.e. about 5 or 6 months before filming started.
It was announced in Feb 2005, but it was heavily rumored for a long time before that.

The more I think about it, the more I like A WHISPER OF HATE given the general revenge bent Bond 22 will have.
I like that title as well, and I think that it would be perfect for the title of Bond 22.

The Undertaker's Wind
Sounds like a film about a flatulent mortician.

Do we know that?! I thought there was still a chance of it being THE PROPERTY OF A LADY, RISICO, or even QUANTUM OF SOLACE? Those are my preferred titles nonetheless.Maybe we should have a poll of our favourite titles. At least we know it's not going to be a Fleming title.

No more seriously, I think the next one will be a loose remake of Goldfinger with another title. Mr Wilson was spotted reading the novel on a plane last month.

The origin and double-meaning are fairly obvious, as is the schmaltziness which will prevent it from being the actual title:
Daniel Craig as
Ian Fleming's James Bond 007 in
LOVE NOT

u know that might actually work.I'm still partial to my original title idea of THE SPECTRE OF REVENGE, but seeing as how little hope there is of a return of SPECTRE, I just came up with a new one.

LIVE AND LET DIE
Think about it : more press generated, on the same wavelenght as CR, exploiting the fact that "this novel had never be done right for the screen", fandom going into frenzy because it's a step clearly showing they might redo the novels that didn't make it except for the titles, and right this time (ie follow up with Moonraker, and then YOLT ?)
hahaha, can't wait

From the MTV article: 'Haggis did admit that he recently suggested a title to the series producers. "I said, 'I think this is going to be a good title,' and they said, 'Um-hmm.'"'
