James Bond needs to have a wider world view in this movie ("the big picture") and TPOAL needs to have a wider world view reason for it being the title to Bond 22.

Well, this may be cheesy, but Bond could also be considered "the property of a lady" in that much of his life philosophy, and possibly even current persona, arose from falling in love with this woman, Vesper, only to have her betray him and break his heart. He owes much of who he is to her; hence, he is, in a way and in part, the "property" of said lady.

Yeah, it's a stretch, I know. :cooltongue:

Bond 22 could do without material referrences to Algerian love knots and boyfriends. Passing references are the way to go, i.m.o. because I still would like this movie to be as close to "stand alone" as possible while maintaing the next step in "character arc" story.

If TPOAL is used as a title it would be cheap/cheesy to have the love knot as reason for said title.

James Bond needs to have a wider world view in this movie ("the big picture") and TPOAL needs to have a wider world view reason for it being the title to Bond 22.

The love knot reason just doesnt cut it i.m.o.

I do agree that TPOAL with a 007 logo behind it would maintain the 'young male' demographic while enhancing the 'female' demographic they seem to have picked up with Casino Royale. I can tell you first hand that a few females went to see CR on opening night in my company that simply would not have gone to see Die Another Day.

I see were your going, but I'm just saying what if It is to be called TPOAL. i dont think it would be just because of her Loveknot, i mean bond had other stuff of her's but my guess is that it might be mostly on the loveknot meaning but like i said I do see were ur coming from.

I'd like a Fleming title, too, but as there are so few left (unless they use some very good chapter titles) I'd settle for something Fleming-esque. Like a play on words the way "Live and Let Die" or "You Only Live Twice" were. Something like, "All's Hell That Ends Well" but much better than that, or "Old Habits Never Die," even though I know we're tired of the "die" word.

Isn't the phrase "old habits die hard"? And that title is taken!

Yes but the poster was suggesting a play on that phrase.

I had a dream last night that Judi Dench was being interviewed on TV, and she mentioned that M's husband would have a speaking role in the new Bond movie, which she accidentally announced as being called.....

"Hunt or be Hunted" might work well for Bond 22, but it might not be Bond-ish enough. I like "Forgive and Forget" - it has a bit of a blunt sound to it, like "Diamonds Are Forever."

How about borrowing a title from one of 'The Two Ronnies' old Piggy Malone and Charley Farley series:

Bullets Dominae (title of song by Pure Reason Revolution but cool)
A Crag-Like Face
