[AMC Hornet]

Granted - Lord's character becomes so popular that he ends up taking over the series and Connery goes on to play McGarrett on the pilot for Hawaii Five-0, which ends up not selling because Americans couldn't understand his brogue.

 

I wish Christopher Eccleston had appeared in The Day of the Doctor.

I wish I can visit London, England one day.

I wish McGann would get a short mini-series as the Eighth Doctor. The Night of the Doctor was fantastic.

I wish that EON does something special this year to celebrate the 50th anniversary of Goldfinger..

I wish Samuel L. Jackson becomes the new Ms Moneypenny.

I wish we do not have to wait much longer for some Bond 24 news.

Granted...our first bit of solid, confirmed Bond 24 news is that the title tune will be one massive compilation of past Bond theme tune singers teaming up a la "We Are The World" or "Do They Know It's Christmas" to record the song... Dame Shirley Bassey, Tom Jones, Duran Duran, A-ha (reform to take part in this), Gladys Knight, Chris Cornell, Adele, Jack White and Alicia Keys, Sir Paul McCartney reforms Wings, Tina Turner (comes out of retirement), Garbage and Sheryl Crow all participate (thankfully Madonna is unavailable), The song ends up being over 9 minutes in length due to the need to feature every single artist in a solo moment and makes its debut on the charts at #99 and quickly drops off after two days.

 

I wish that Daniel Kleinman gets confirmed soon as being the title sequence director for Bond 24...it drove me nuts, no knowing for so long whether he was going to do Skyfall or not..

Granted he is confirmed tomorrow but decides he wants to work with a former artist he's directed and whose sung a Bond theme before.. Madonna makes here return to do the theme of Bond 24 and is this time given a even larger role instead of just a cameo. 

 

 

I wish I had a job on Bond 24.

Granted - it's your job to register all the internet site names for the movie's title, and you're expected to do it without anyone figuring out the title before the press conference. When you inevitably fail you're fired.

 

I wish the Moon Buggy was back in the Planet Hollywood restaurant at Caesar's Palace in Las Vegas. (Then I could see it again next month!)

Granted...the Moon Buggy returns to Planet Hollywood at Caesar's (must make sure to visit myself on my next Vegas trip), but the day you decide to visit, Planet Hollywood is closed due to food supply shortage and remains close until after you leave.

 

I wish that there could have been some sort of reset button I could have pushed that would have restarted the Super Bowl..

Granted but the half time show is 4 hours of The Red Hot Chili Peppers playing air guitar and lip singing. 

 

 

I wish Bond 7 drivers a Lotus like Roger Moore's Bond.

Granted.. Bond #7 gets a brand new Lotus to drive from Q division in his first film adventure.. Unfortunately, he ends up driving it off a pier into the ocean, just like in The Spy Who Loved Me, but the car has NOT been designed to turn into a submarine and just sinks to the bottom of the ocean.

 

 

I wish that Hollywood would have the decency to just give it up when it comes to still trying to get Ghostbusters III made.....

Granted. Unfortunately the wish was granted ill-timed due to the passing of Harold Ramis. Hollywood fast tracks the new Ghostbusters 3 film into production. But of course predictably the studio reboots the franchise and just re-titles it Ghostbusters. Dan Aykroyd, Ernie Hudson and the reluctant Bill Murray reunite to pay tribute to their fallen comrade....in just the first 5 minutes of the film. The actors are killed off  (eaten by voraciously green Slimer). This paves the the way for Seth Rogen, Jonah Hill, Paul Rudd, and Craig Robinson to be the new Ghostbusters. (Jay Baruchel plays the new Louis Tully).

 

I wish Josh Brolin was cast as the new Batman instead of Ben Affleck...

That actually sounds very plausible.

 

Granted, Batman vs. Superman is titled Superman vs. W. and involves George W. Bush's ill-fated and deceptive decision to invade Kryton to mine the planet for kryptonite. It leads to an all-out war in which Superman destroys the Earth in retaliation for the destruction of Krypton.

 

 

I wish the weather in Spain hadn't turned to s*** on the exact weekend of Carnaval....

Granted it is fantastic weather however the Carnival is postponed until the next weekend which turns out to be cancelled anyway because of bad weather.

 

 

I wish the Bond 24 news comes in smoothly and consistently.

Granted however it becomes so hot that it melts the ice caps and floods you.

 

 

This one never gets old to me; I wish Brosnan had a 5th film in 2004.

Granted...Taking the Way-back machine to 2004, Kevin McClory somehow miraculously clears up all the legal red tape and finally gets his "Warhead 2000" film green lit and casts Pierce Brosnan as 007. It turns out to be an even worse filming experience than Never Say Never Again as the script is so poorly written and there is 10 times as much CGI than there was in Die Another Day that the film flops and Brosnan's James Bond legacy is forever tarnished.

 

 

I wish that we would get some sort of official announcement soon from EON confriming the October start date for filming on Bond 24.

Granted however they are only filming one scene during a full moon or something before taking a hiatus and delaying the film another year till 2016.

So, granted, we don't have to wait any longer to learn that Marc Forster is welcomed back with open arms as cinematographer on B24.

I wish there was another forgotten film attempt at LALD or MR from the fifties that would surface intact, like CR did in '94.

Granted, but it's after Alcatraz is recomissioned as a federal prison.

 

I wish for more travelogue and classy locales (a la TB, YOLT, OHMSS, MR  etc.) in B24 & beyond.

Granted although Bond 24 is all about Bond going deep undercover as a server and he's finely moved up the ranks and is doing a ball. Learning how to set tables and just be classy. The climax of the film is when Bond presents desert. 

 

I wish Bond 7 does a film every year for 7 years and calls it quits.

Granted...Bond #7's first film in year 1 is a James Bond film...For the next 6 years, he does nothing but non-Bond films and quits the Bond role before he has a chance to film his second Bond film, due to the inability for EON to find suitable writers and lack of funding.

 

 

I wish that we would get another high quality James Bond video game soon!
