Granted, it's an abridged version that is one page long.
I wish product placement wasn't so prevalent in the Bond series.

I wish product placement wasn't so prevalent in the Bond series.
Posted 30 December 2012 - 04:07 AM
Granted....from Bond 24 onwards, all product placement is eliminated from the films...but due to this the budget of each succesive Bond film grows smaller and smaller until eventually, Bond 37 simply consists of the opening MGM Lion followed by the gunbarrel and that is it..
I wish that we would get some solid news soon about Daniel Craig and Rooney Mara's involvement and when filming will begin on The Girl Who Played With Fire and The Girl Who Kicked The Hornet's Nest.
Posted 30 December 2012 - 07:21 AM
Granted, the news is that the films are on indefinite hold.
I wish there was a Lego James Bond video game.
Posted 31 December 2012 - 05:08 AM
Granted and I would love to play it but it doesn't hold up to other great Lego games like Star Wars or Indiana Jones.
Soon news on TGWTDT's sequel TGWPFW, would be sweet for the fans.
I wish the whole scene of Bond flying the plane in QOS was cute out of the film.
Posted 31 December 2012 - 06:12 AM
Granted, instead we get 20 more minutes of watching a drunk Bond drink martinis on the plane from Austria in its place.
I wish there was more of Strawberry Fields in QoS.
Posted 01 January 2013 - 05:44 AM
Granted...but it turns out to be The Beatles' "Strawberry Fields Forever" playing in the background of the bar where Bond meets up with Felix Leiter.
I wish that 2013 turns out to be a very good year for everyone here at CBN..
Posted 01 January 2013 - 08:11 AM
Dammit, I don't want to corrupt this one! But alas that is the game so....
Granted, all of us CBners have a great year, except there is no new Bond related news. The title and director of Bond 24 aren't announced until 2014 and Boyd's novel is delayed until 2014.
I wish I wasn't out of Tea.
Posted 01 January 2013 - 06:16 PM
Granted but the tea you get isn't what you were expecting.
I wish I could speak different languages.
Posted 02 January 2013 - 03:15 AM
Granted, you speak The Sims language.
I wish the bonus disc in the Bond 50 set, had more interesting stuff in it.
Posted 02 January 2013 - 02:11 PM
Granted! But for this reason the 'Skyfall' Blu Ray and DVD consists of no extras, to compensate the excluisve Bond50 content and as not to over-load fans with too much BTS documentaries and sequences!
I wish that 'Skyfall' lands at least one of those dreamy Academy Award nominations...!
Posted 02 January 2013 - 10:37 PM
Granted, but it loses to another movie.
I wish that Daniel Craig was younger so he could do more Bond movies!
Posted 02 January 2013 - 10:43 PM
Granted, but he reverts to six months old and you must now wait 40 years before he is an acceptable age to play Bond.
I wish I could play the part of a Bond henchman.
Edited by 00Hockey Mask, 02 January 2013 - 10:44 PM.
Posted 03 January 2013 - 01:03 AM
Granted...you get the part of Henchman # 50 in Bond 24 but are only featured in one brief scene as the henchman standing by the door and opening it for the main villain..
I wish that a James Bond cookbook would have been created as part of the 50th anniversary celebration, featuring Bond-related named dishes.
Posted 03 January 2013 - 02:35 AM
Granted, but you get sick after eating an excessive amount of Tangy Pussy Galore off page 41.
I wish Lazenby had played Bond in Diamonds Are Forever.
Posted 03 January 2013 - 03:27 AM
Granted, but you get sick after eating an excessive amount of Tangy Pussy Galore off page 41.
Ha, nice!
Granted, but the script is even worse than the current DAF and the next 16 films are not made.
I wish Jack Lord had played Felix in more films than just Dr. No.
Posted 03 January 2013 - 04:20 AM
Granted but his high price tag comes at the cost of the films budget and production value.
I wish Donald Pleasence (YOLT) would have played Ernst Stavro Blofeld in all his appearances in the series, instead of being re-cast.
Posted 03 January 2013 - 05:10 AM
Granted, but everyone boos Lazenby as he socks the poor little bugger during the bobsled chase, and then there is so much inappropriate laughing and puking during the "look what the cat dragged in" scene in DAF that the film has to be recut before general release. Simply buzzing out to Baja by rooftop helicopter seems so lame in comparison.
I wish that people would stop talking about Skyfall coming 'full circle' as if the next film ought to be Dr. No, and that Bond 24 is similar to TB/OHMSS in theme, narrative and style (with the gunbarrel at the frickin' beginning where it belongs).
Posted 03 January 2013 - 06:07 AM
Granted, the ending of Skyfall actually meant that Bond was entering into Operation Blackbriar and is now becoming a CIA agent who will gain amnesia and instead go after his own bosses.
I wish Timothy Dalton had portrayed Bond in AVTAK.
Posted 03 January 2013 - 08:41 AM
Granted! However Dalton sadly leaves the role of 007 after just one film due to clashes with Tanya Roberts during filming and her excessive screaming, and the producers clash with him over whether May Day would over-power this new, grittier and younger Bond in the bedroom scene. Plus, Christopher Walken clashes with Dalton over who can give the most dramatic, darker performance on screen together, with their dialogue appearing more poignant and dramatic then it should be. 'The Living Daylights' production is shelved for the next couple of years as they try to find a new 007.
I wish that James Bond t-shirts were more availaible on the market for us fans to buy!
Posted 03 January 2013 - 11:10 AM
Granted, stores now carry a surplus of Jimmy "Cardsense" Bond shirts.
I wish Lee Tamahori never got his hands into the Bond series.
Posted 03 January 2013 - 12:31 PM
Granted! McG takes the director seat instead, and turned the 40th Anniversary Bond film into a prequel, set back in the late 1940s which focuses on James Bond in his Naval career, with no espionage at all, seeing how he became a spy for MI6. The film lasts 85 minutes and features Gerard Butler as Commander James Bond, with no James Bond theme, no pre-titles or anything to do with the Bond iconography. The film is called 'Spy Another Day'. It bombs, and the franchise is soon fizzled out to let the current, modern Jason Bourne take over the spy films.
I wish they never remake the James Bond films...
Posted 03 January 2013 - 02:06 PM
Granted, however the series soon runs out of ideas and instead has to move into different genres. Before long, Austin Powers and James Bond team up in buddy-comedy SkyBalls.
I wish Bond 24 would feature more Fleming story elements.
Posted 03 January 2013 - 02:53 PM
Granted! The film's title is revealed as 'The Property Of A Lady' and the teaser poster features a solid Daniel Craig Bond pose oposite an unknown female lead.
The teaser trailer is very film-noir style, with flashbacks to 'Casino Royale', 'Quantum Of Solace' and 'Skyfall', with some current footage of gun battles, car chases and stunning cinemetagraphy featuring Bond, some tough looking villains and the lead Bond girl, called by her name Vivienne Michel, played by Catherine Zeta-Jones, as she meets Bond.
It dawns on you...it's an adaptation of 'The Spy Who Loved Me' novel. The film is out, and lasts for 2 hours, 25 minutes. It's a point of view story from Viv's perspective and her own tales of former love and adventure, entwined with the timeline of Daniel Craig's Bond leading up to meeting her after the events of 'Skyfall'. Footage from his past 3 films are cut in black and white between Viv's story in colour.
Eventually, James Bond is seen properly on screen at the 2 hour mark, which leaves 25 minutes for a gun battle with the bad guys, a final car chase and his departure. Viv's final line on film is "...and I'll never forget those sacred moments with the spy who loved me."
Daniel Craig quits as James Bond, and Catherine Zeta-Jones continues the franchise under the new name of Jane Bond. The first ever female Bond.
I wish that we get a really good, decent James Bond video game next year to make up for previous efforts that does really well in sales and reviews!
Posted 03 January 2013 - 03:44 PM
Granted. The game we get in 2014 is Raven's game having been deep in development instead of cancelled. It is released as a launch title for Xbox 720 and Playstation 4. The game happens to be an adaptation of Risico with Daniel Craig both providing his likeness and voicing Bond. Liam Neeson portrays the villain and Emily Blunt and Yuliya Snigir are the Bond girls. Ralph Fiennes, Naomie Harris, Ben Whishaw and Jeffrey Wright also participate and the game's script is co-written by Purvis, Wade and Logan.
The game's plot involves drug smugglers in the Middle East and Bond travels to Italy, Afghanistan and the Caribbean. There are spectacular set pieces including Bond surviving a plane crash. The finale takes place on ship off the southern coast of Florida, which Bond faces off against the villain and sinks the ship escaping with Blunt. The game receives universal praise for near lifelike visuals and outstanding 3rd person gameplay. It sells over 5 million copies.
However, the consequences are that because the game is received well both critically and commercially, Activision extends its ownership of the Bond license for another 10 years. After the one year revival, we are back to getting half-assed Call of Duty knockoffs with terrible Daniel Craig impersonators and they are even worse than 007 Legends.
I wish Call of Duty never happened. Then we would never get Call of Duty knockoffs.
Posted 04 January 2013 - 08:28 AM
Granted! We get games called '00-Puzzle' and 'The Man With The Golden Block' instead, James Bond themed games that are clear knock-offs of classics like Tetris, Pong and Frogger with a secret agent / saving-the-world twist that are as dull as they sound.
I wish that more people now understand what James Bond is all about after 'Skyfall' and lay off the "he's had his day", "they're all the same" arguments we've done so well to brush off...!
Posted 04 January 2013 - 09:46 PM
Granted but without those opinions and criticisms we have nothing to debate about and DC's films are shamelessly overrated without any critical thought or analysis.
I wish Connery was Bond in OHMSS.
Posted 04 January 2013 - 10:30 PM
Granted, Bond 24 is announced as a remake of OHMSS with Sean Connery assuming the role of a long since retired James Bond.
I wish Ian Fleming had died much later than 1964.
Posted 05 January 2013 - 03:46 AM
Granted he writes more Bond novels and even makes a noticeable cameo in one of the films although he writes about a aging Bond getting into day to day social issues with other retired agents.
I wish they bring back the Blofeld in Bond24.
Posted 05 January 2013 - 04:29 AM
Granted, he's portrayed by Mike Myers and holds the world ransom for......ONE MILLION DOLLARS!
I wish Barbara Bach had returned for another film as a different character.
Posted 05 January 2013 - 05:08 AM
Granted: when Bond shows up for his next briefing she's playing M, and she and Moneypenny get more screen-time in the field than ever before.
I wish that reading the wish-granting didn't leave me depressed. C'mon, guys - it doesn't always have to be about the demise of the series!
