Can't wait! But didn't they just do something like this in 2001?...

I can't wait until this is released in the US and Canada. Finally Die Another Day will match the rest of the DVDs.

One question though, sorry if this has been asked and answered in the thread already. Will this new set still contain all of the old special features and documentaries that were featured on the other releases?

Sorry, don't know that yet. I hope they will at least include the John Cork documentaries from the old DVDs. Those were great.

If you think about it, July's a good time for the Ultimate releases. You can pretty much guarantee every film will carry a trailer for Casino Royale and maybe some sort of advertising sheet inside. It'll be good to get word of mouth going about the new film and over those three months or so, people can get a fix of their old favourite Bond movies.

Word of mouth is already going. It's also 4 months and July is way too early for the trailer (just the teaser, which might not be much at all). Good advertisment would come close to the theatrical release of CR, not 4 months. Would a DVD rerelease (for better comparison lets say on the same level of quality improvement and comparable features) have aided X-Men 3 if they released X-Men and X2 in late January? I highly doubt it.

Why are they doing this when they released them in 2001?...I'm sorry, but I'm not exactly great at technology.

There are going to be updates to the tech specs/quality and special features.

I know. Mostly bad stuff about DC not being able to drive stick shift, if you talk about it to folks in the average pub in the UK!

It's also 4 months and July is way too early for the trailer (just the teaser, which might not be much at all).

I said three months or so! 'So' tends to mean 'thereabouts' which can easily stretch to another month . . . or so . A 'teaser' is a type of trailer. I reckon we'll get something along the lines of the GoldenEye teaser where we got visuals with almost no dialogue.

Good advertisment would come close to the theatrical release of CR, not 4 months. Would a DVD rerelease (for better comparison lets say on the same level of quality improvement and comparable features) have aided X-Men 3 if they released X-Men and X2 in late January?

No, cos there are two X-Men movies and twenty Bonds. If the new releases are in the shops for a couple of months on fancy stands, people might well pick up the odd one across more than one month - very few of us will be able to buy all twenty at once!

I highly doubt it.

Why the patronising, sarcastic attitude in your post anyway? have I offended you somehow? :D

Hi mraznblingbling3, and welcome to CBn. For your information, this new set of 007 DVDs have not yet been released - but keep in mind the DVDs from a few years ago are still readily available on eBay.

Yes they will. All the special features that were on the previous special edition DVDs will be on these new ultimate edition DVDs.

In addition to items "new" to this set including the 25th Anniversary Special from 1987 hosted by Roger Moore.

I hope I'm not the only one who see the "2 DISC DVD SET" on Goldeneye and Diamonds are Forever. If all 20 movies come in a 2 Disc set, then we'll find a freaking huge load of extras...THAT'S ABSOLUTELY LOVELY!

And I also love the pictures on the front of the 4 DVD's shown (DAF, TLD, GE and DAD), I think this is quite an original idea, they seem to look like the Indiana Jones Trilogy ones, and I love them...

I can't see anything here that I don't like...

Does anyone know if they will be edited for violence for UK release like they did with the last lot of DVD's?

That REALLY annoyed me big time. I buy a film on DVD to see it's full cut not to be edited like it's on tv or something.

I wish they'd get someone with some talent to do the frickin' DVD covers. I'm sick of these boring Photoshop explosion-fest covers.

Looks like all of them will be two disc sets. Having the bonus material on a seperate disc leaves more room on disc one for the films to be presented in the highest quality possible instead of squeezing everything together on one disc.

The cover art is so-so. The orange logos clash with the silver and back background and I would rather have the top and bottom switch places.

Now if we could just get some news about the Region 1 release.

I wonder if the combination to the locks on the suitcase is "007"?

These DVD covers look awesome. Any idea if the US ones will also be available in one set (not 3 like before)? If so, will they look the same as the UK?

Maybe we'll finally have some in depth documentaries over the Brosnan films. TWINE has the least amount of extras of any of the films. GE and TND are only a little bit better since they included tv specials yet they like TWINE didn't have any in depth documetaries either.

I hope they don't drop any of the bonus features from the previous releases.

Looks nice. Those are just sleeves though. The cover of the actual DVDs could be entirely different. The Die Another Day one that has been released is different, similar, but still different.

Having stared at that picture for a few seconds in deep thought, my guess is that the boxes (under the sleeves) are exactly the same as previous releases. The sleeves were just added to make them all match.

Looks awesome, hopefully the North American ones will look the same. And Die Another Day finally matches the rest of the DVD covers.

Also, thanks to zencat and DLibrasnow for answering my question earlier in the thread. :D

At least in Spain, we've got the normal Day another Day cover on one side, and the "Special Edition" cover (to match the other 20 movies) on the other side...in fact I've got my 7 Special Edition Films (including Die Another Day) all together and look wonderful, I can't wait to see them with their "High Resolution-Double DVD-Plenty of extras" brothers.

And there's only a explosion in TLD cover, Diamonds are forever features a red Casino logo, meanwhile Goldeneye features the Goldeneye...or so it seems. I think that the other ones won't have as much red "environment" on them as those 3 mentioned before. I also think that it could be possible to see the nowdays covers updated with "Ultimate Edition" instead of "Special Edition", and the extras on the back cover.

I guess I'm a little disappointed they didn't include the regular poster art, but I don't think the current covers, at least those seen, are too bad. Beats a lot of those on the last wave. And at least they have the original fonts for the titles.

The case is kind of cool. Beats lugging around three separate boxes and you have them all together. And that's easier to display as my DVD shelves are full as it is.

2-disc sets. I'm stoked.
