The boy and I are irrationally excited for this. I wonder why there wasn't any talk of Tim's appearance (at least that I saw) until now...anyway, it's great to see Simon and Nick together again, and the return of the "never taken a shortcut before?" joke.

Been looking forward to this film for ages - big fan of Shaun OTD! :P

Tim looks good too, nice moustache. :) Great cast they've got lined up.

I honestly don't know anything about his role in this but I'm guessing its some sort of corrupt supermarket owner judging by the people standing behind him and how sinister he looks. Thats him being knocked backwards by Simon Pegg (AKA Nick Angel) a few shots later too.

yes, I was going to say this. Dalton appears twice in the trailer (from what i could tell). He says that line and a few cuts later he's getting punched by Pegg.

I lover you idea of Dalton playing a "corrupt supermarket owner" I hope it's true and I hope he has decent screentime.

I really wish hollywood or somebody would offer Dalton more roles. I'm not asking for leading roles all the time (that would be great) but at least a few good supporting roles. He's a good actor, and he still looks great for his age.

I've been keeping track of this film for sometime now, and I can't wait for it.

Also note the crazy shootout that seems to be going on down a supermarket aisle. I'm so pumped to see him evil it up with Simon Pegg.

He is the supermarket manager and his character is called Simon Skinner ( according to IMBD ). Other than that there is not much known about the other cast members. All the blogs focused on Pegg, Wright and Frost. Loved Shaun,( nice to see the shortcut joke back in ) so I have great hopes for this.

It is also generating a bit of a buzz already. There have been shorter trailers in the cinemas and Empire magazine mention it in just about every issue. Jonathan Ross was even saying saying how great it looked when he had Simon Pegg on recently.

Its released in the UK in February 2007

Hot Fuzz comes to our screens on February 15th. Vue cinemas have a few gala performances prior to that.

Jonathan Ross did an on set piece for Film 2007 that was shown recently and it included a short interview with Tim Dalton looking suitably villianous

I can't wait for this either! SOTD was a great Brit rom-zom-comedy gem, and I'm hoping HF will be the same for the action-cop genre!

Simon Pegg and Nick Frost are great together, as Edgar Wright is directing.

And of course, looking forward to seeing my first 007 on the cinema screen again in such a hyped movie!

"Here come the Fuzz!"

they showed the trailer before smokin' aces (it was a free advance screening) and it was the best part of the movie. loved shaun of the dead and this looks like it could be just as good. looking forward to it.

I saw it last night and loved it. This film has something for everyone. It's very funny, gory and with plenty of action. It has a cast to die for ... just about everyone from British comedy and some fabulous British character actors all gloriously hamming it up.

Pegg and Wright have mixed up a few genres but this is definitely based on the American police action buddy movies. If you've enjoyed 'Point Break', 'Bad Boys' and 'Lethal Weapon', you'll get this. It also has a touch of 'The Wicker Man.' Its pretty eclectic but, IMO , it works.

Pegg is great, Nick Frost steals the show and Timothy Dalton looks like it is the most fun he has had in years.

Anyone who can suggest that Timothy Dalton does not have a sense of humour or cant do comedy is so wrong. It is also great to see him back in action in scenes reminiscent of 18 years ago :cooltongue:

If you enjoyed Shaun Of The Dead, you will enjoy this. I actually prefered it! For once it is a British film that delivers and I hope it is a huge sucess.

yes, I've been reading many posts online of people saying that Dalton is awesome in this film. I can't wait to see it.

I only wish that Hollywood would have given him another chance.

Looking forward to seeing Dalton in the film, and hope he gets a suitable ammount of screentime. He still sounds like Bond from 1989.

Looking forward to seeing it. Am still uncoverted to Daltonism, but always pull for underdogs and am glad to see him have what could be a hit. And if he can actually convince me that he has a sense of humor, who knows: my thinking about that most dour of Bonds might begin to change.

I saw this last night, and can say, almost without bias, that Dalton stole the show. Although it would be kind of hard not to when... well, you'll see.

Here's hoping that HOT FUZZ is a huge hit. And good on TD for his role in it. Maybe his career will get a second wind the way Leslie Nelson's did in comedy starting with AIRPLANE.

Hot Fuzz is fantastically entertaining and Timothy Dalton is ter-rif-fic! David Arnold's score is loving pastiche but works in its own right too. HF is really inventive and funny and original.
Go see it and decide for yourselves.

There were quite a few floating around on the internet but I cant seem to find any decent ones. :cooltongue:

If you go back through the thread Rochester posted some links for Hot Fuzz premier photos from a couple of weeks ago ... some great shots of Tim.

Tim does have decent screen time and some fantastic scenes.

and its got a great david arnold score with bits of the fight with pegg and dalton sounding like a bond fight, hopefully on purpose.
there is 23 minutes of score on the hot fuzz soundtrack album too.Amazing grace has come out in the usa also to pretty good reviews on rotten tomatoes.Michael Apted directed it, so theres another Bond connection.David Arnold scored this one too, havent seen it yet, it comes out here in march i think

Man this is the best role Dalton's had since Licence To Kill in my book. Not hard to do when you've got The Beautician and the Beast and Looney Tunes Back In Action on your resume but its great to see he got a huge role in Hot Fuzz.
