Exactly. In the one still, he's even wearing the jacket.
These are not stills of Casino Royale...relax...
He does have a jacket in his hand...I don't think the T-shirt is gonna be seen in the final product.

Sorry, but I appear to be the only bloke who thinks this is still disastrous casting. I just think that this project is troubled and no one wants to really admit it.
I don't think it's a bad as you suggest, but I will say this: I came here so that I could read/hear some positive reactions to this news.

Good for you. I'm not complaining about Craig because as far as I'm concerned the series couldn't have gotten any worse than DUD.

I didn't like how Craig looked at the press conference, to be honest. He doesn't look comfortable in a suit and he would not work with coiffed hair. I'm happy to see their are letting Craig be Craig and letting him be his own Bond instead of an imitation of what went before or an attempt to shoehorn him into the stereotypical image of 007.
Agreed. I do think he can pull off a suit, if it's the right suit. Ready for more pics now.

Bond is a human being in this film. Like normal human beings, he'll wear smart clothes where appropriate and doss-around clothes when he's at home or training . . . or beating someone up!
If the pix aren't from the Casino Royale set, where else would DC be getting himself cut and bruised?!

Oh I think he looks very stylish in a suit. Not least in Layer Cake where he turns in a very fashionable elegance; in a suit in several places.
It's hard to say whether his hair has been dyed or not, but it does look considerably darker in these pictures, and gives us a good view of how his hair would look if dyed a bit.
He's clearly still blonde but I think there's a good chance his natural colour will have been toned down ever so slightly- it's just the way of moviemaking. That said, the state of his hair in these shots (greased and ruffled) makes it look even darker. I'm pleased to see he's still blonde- it's more interesting.
Oh, and I'm blonde too

You must be new around these parts...

Seriously, though, a few minutes perusing the boards will turn up plenty of anti-Craig sentiment. I give you much credit, though, for not passing final judgement until you see the finished product.
As for the photos, I don't think Craig looks particularly "muscle-bound"; he's cut, but he's still not a "big" guy. (Heck, I wouldn't mind if he were a little beefier.)
I do like the hair though. I think the shorter 'cut suits him.

However, every pic of Craig will be debated and criticised as if he would wear the clothes or looks that way in all the movie.
I say it's a matter or class. You either inspire trust and admiration in the majority, or you don't. Hell, I forgave Sean his pic tie. Looks like Craig is in for a long fight... with the fans !

There was no complaint in my post. The implication was that I had to come here to read something positive, as the opinions I had read/heard elsewhere were, to put it mildly, not.

All I have to say is... hum, they didn't dye his hair...
...this surprises me actually.
They didn't?
His hair looks near jet black to me in the first pic (sprinkled with uber metrosexual blonde frosted tips, I might add).

Daniel Craig IS James Bond 007
Look at Daniel Craig as James Bond. His hair style and attire is very modern looking. He looks more like Jason Bourne than the other five actors especially Pierce Brosnan. In my opinion, this isn't a bad thing because I love his overall look in the shots released today. However, these pictures are visual proof that Casino Royale will indeed be much different than anything we've seen before. What are your thoughts? Do you like the 21st Century look?

But yes, I do. I love how Craig looks in those photos, and I couldn't be more excited for his new portrayal. He's really going to make the role his own. That's an exciting thing.
I once suggested a while ago that CASINO ROYALE transform Bond into the modern man of today - a contemporary figure that has the same essence of the character of the 60s. It seems they're doing just that. I couldn't be happier.

Hair looks good. I hope he does wear a suit in this movie at least. He is not Rambo but James Bond.People will see what they want to see. If they want to see Craig as Bond in these pictures they will and vice versa.

He's going to wear a suit (and likely quite frequently wear a suit as well). He does go to a casino.Hair looks good. I hope he does wear a suit in this movie at least. He is not Rambo but James Bond.

If they were stills of Casino Royale they would have been released by Sony and made available to all media outlets. Sony have not released these to the company I work for (Post Newsweek Media) so I determine that these are simply paparazzi pictures.

Well, if you are waiting on Eon to give you anything official, good luck. We had to find out through other sources CR was even filming. These pictures do very little for me, they show nothing very Bondian so far.
(not meant in any bashing way, they are so non-news)
I'm pretty thrilled to have anything at this point. It's been four years, after all. And these show me Bond is back.

DC should be great as a reinvigorated 007.
For those that think these pics show him as blonde, you should check the tint on your computer monitor. He obviously has the dark, black hair commonly associated with Bond.

Daniel Craig is the first new Bond of the 21st Century, the first generation X Bond, the first Bond born after the release of Dr. No and the first Bond under 40 years of age since OHMSS.

Ooh very nice. That hair looks most definitely to be a brownish shade - it's quite possible that it was in fact dyed. Who knows? Here's a bigger version of the jacket pic, and without the watermark:
