Nothing like starting off the week with a bang -- eh, Ale, sweetie?Wendy darling.. your correction to a certain word's spelling... cracked me up!!!
![]()
Could that certain word of which you speak possibly be that final one posted yesterday by CBn's resident physician, who shall remain nameless?
On the other hand, perhaps he really did know how to spell the word, but mis-typed it due to a Freudian slip: at the time of posting, he was overcome by the desire to murder me!

Also this is a bit off topic but my mom and one of my old girlfreinds swore up and down that George Lazenby was the hunkiest thing they had seen and said people always said they were weird for that feeling too.
So I'm wondering are those thoughts weird, since everyone talks about Connery and Pierce as being the only ones with female appeal.

As for the thoughts being weird? Not really, it's not like he has a second head growing out of his shoulder or anything.

NO! NO!! NO!!!!!My sister saw this up on the PC and she wanted to know if she is weird because she thought Dalton was by far the hottest Bond, when she says everyone she says that to just stares at her.
Your sister is NOT weird!!!! Tell her to contact me, and she can then become a full-fledged member of THE TIMOTHY DALTON CHAT GROUP, a site to which I am a contributing writer, as well as a devoted slave, to --
TIMOTHY DALTON -- THE MOST GORGEOUS MAN WHO EVER WALKED THE FACE OF THE EARTH!!!!

I must also mention, C L R T B D 0, Darling, that I had the extreme pleasure of having cocktails with Connery (Sir Sean, to me) several years back, and I wrote about it here. If you would like to read it (also your sister, mom, etc. might enjoy it) you can find the story in CBn Forums > Film Eras > Sir Sean Connery > Sir Sean and I.So I'm wondering are those thoughts weird, since everyone talks about Connery and Pierce as being the only ones with female appeal.

I just had to reply to this !!!!! I think DW put it quite succinctly but I had to have my say.
TD has a large female fan base. They just dont materialise very often on Bond forums. He has a particularly large following in Russia too for some reason. But IMO, he is by far the most gorgeous of the Bonds .... handsome, but still rugged and a little careworn, tall, lithe , sexy voice, yummy, scrummy
The reaction she gets is probably because he is also the least known out of the Bonds, ( Lazenby being more infamous ) and he has been the most quiet in recent years so his profile isn't very high.
TD has a solid and passionate fan base
Nothing weird in liking this:

Oh Wendy Darling, tonight's your last night in the nursery.
Which in a roundabout way makes me ask, what would the women have thought about Jason Isaacs as Bond. I thought he'd be perfect... but I am a man.

ah RIGHT! the guy was mentioned elsewhere before.
Indeed he does have a Bondian look... he does look the part, and has all the necessary acting background I think!
He comes across to me as a bit too "icy" though. I mean I don't see all this sex appeal that Bond has in him, in a word as Wendy and I would say.. he lacks a bit of "IT"!!
He doesn't make me SWOON! But he surely does look the part and I'm certain he would've acted it great.
A nice question, Maj.
Now Wendy darling.. doesn't he have a little bit of TIMOTHY in him?? lol
ah, also.. for our new BABE, NO DEAR it's NOT weird to state Timothy Dalton is a major hunk! lol
He is. But given the subdivisions and preferences, I'll get Pierce, and leave Timothy to Wendy. Right Wendy darling? (there for you Maj!
Actually to Wendy.. and Lady Rose... and Pam Bouvier... and.. who else??
It's great because I'm the only "in love with Brosnan's charms" Babe on the thread! lol
Now Pierce, how can you possibly not take into account such a thing?
Waiting for you to meet me up at the new Bulgari resort in central Milan for a drink.
Now THAT is a true Bond setting... doesn't need any work, it's the real Bond deal! (Eon note please. lol )
And most of all.. the real Alessandra and Pierce deal!

How tough do you think the modern Bond girl should be? Should she be in the mould of the tough, sassy, self-sufficient Bond "woman", as portrayed by the likes of Jinx, Wai Lin, Pam Bouvier, Christmas Jones etc, or should she be the soft, gentle, possibly helpless type like Kara, Stacey Sutton, Domino, Honey Ryder etc?
Do you want to see a Bond woman that is Bond's equal, and won't fall straight into bed with him unless it's on her terms? A Lara Croft-type clone who dominates her men, calls all the shots and won't be caught dead being seen as helpless or even needing help? Or do you prefer a throwback to the old era where Bond girls were treated with a little less respect by Bond, and sometimes used as little more than sexual playthings?
Are there only these two variations, or can we have something in between? Are there any other types of Bond girls that exist in a different vein? Or will modern audiences now never accept anything less than a kick-

Ok, here's a question to all of you babes and er... babe admirers here. Something Dalton's Wendy and I have been discussing on Yahoo messenger:

What do you think?
I don't think the classic Bond girls were ever "gentle". Pussy Galore wasn't, she was ballsy and slightly sapphic. Honeyrider was a tough, knife toting amazon babe. Even Tiffany Case (the most tedious of the early Bond girls, on screen anyway) was quite a feisty madam when she first met Bond.
The best Bond girls were strong willed women who had to be tamed and won over, they weren't silly girly girls who jumped into bed with him at a moment's notice.
The modern Bond girl should be in that tradition. Strong, confident but eventually won over by Bond - because at the end of the day, women enjoy being a little subservient, as long as the guy merits it.

Funny you should say that. I watched TLD on Saturday for the first time in ages. I'd remembered Kara as being really girly and silly, and was actually impressed by her bravery and strength of character, which came more to the fore as the film went on. It was certainly satisfying to watch. So yes, I think you can have a mix of the two. Besides, a strong woman doesn't need to run around shooting guns and punching people in the face; there are other types of strength. For men too.
Ideally I'd like to see a mixture of different Bond girl types. You can have your strong Wai Lin-like women from time to time, but too much of them (as we've had of late) gets a bit tedious. You do need lovely ladies like Kara or Domino who need Bond's help as well. Either way, as long as they're not one-note characters, it's fine.
But please, let's leave the screechy Ms. Sutton types out! Unless they're going to calm down over the course of the film, they get really annoying really quickly. And would make Gloria Steinem rise from her grave in a fury and slap her into a Charlie's Angels film before you could say 'Spice Girls.'

Just think of it this way, Maj-Baby: When, in a few years' time, your little Elizabeth Anne is old enough to understand it, you will read the wonderful Peter Pan to her.
And every time you read the words Wendy and Darling, you will think of me!

Agree -- agree -- agree!!!!!
Well, you know, LADY ROSE, Darling: having shared cocktails with SIR SEAN, I can say from first-hand experience how extraordinarily charming he is, and how much of the old IT-eroo he possesses! (gobs of it!)and yes, I would even walk over Sean Connery to get to him
Not having met TIMOTHY (yet! but I will!) I can't say for certain just how well he and I would actually get along.
Now, fortunately, I place tremendous reliance upon various websites which I have located on the internet (Celebmatch, Biorhythm Love Match, etc.) -- AND -- according to these enormously reliable sites, MR. DALTON AND I share an intellectual compatibility of 92%! Our emotional compatibility, however, is not so good (probably because I would drive him crazy with my ideas!)
BUT -- the best news is that TIMOTHY and I have a compatibility in the final (and most important!) area, in which we scored such a perfect score, that I actually received an e-mail from Celebmatch saying, "Congratulations! No one has ever before achieved a score of 100% compatibility in this particular area! Want to impress your friends? We at Celebmatch will send them a copy of your score!"
So I think the chances for our success our pretty good. Now, all I have to do is to arrange to be in the first-class airport lounge next time he's taking a flight, and . . .
P.S. If anyone reading this cannot figure out exactly what that final category is, then you probably aren't old enough to be reading this thread!
